Anybody selling any domains on Ebay?

I've had some on there for months, marijuana related, drone related, brandable, etc. Now I am adding some of my prime .rocks domains. I have had watchers but no sales.

Anybody else had any luck on Ebay?

I use ebay to sell when a buyer does not trust me. People do not know about escrow.com and sedo escrow, they are too lazy to do their due diligence and automatically assume silly things. But they know about ebay, they trust ebay and they trust my seller reputation. So I tell them I will put the domain up on ebay where they can buy it, and I send them the link. It works most of the time for me.

eBay still says 90 days to get paid. Is there a account, category & item limit? It appears everyone is putting it under 'business', I don't see that category, just 'business & industrial'. Do you sell one by one or do you bundle more than one in a 'portfolio'
I don't see any of the graphic/PIC dimensions...eBay does a lousy job for newbies!

Thanks a bunch for your help,
Serry

I put mine under:
Specialty Services > Web & Computer Services > Domain Names

Also I use eBay Turbo Lister. It really takes 2 minutes to publish a new name once your template is done.

I have tried eBay in the past with selling domains and it's not near as efficient as selling them on other platforms. The upside of it is that you can track the number of visits to your auction regardless of where you post it and can see which platform performs the best.

I only sell one domain at a time on ebay. There are no end users on Ebay for it to be worth my time listing domains there, only when the buyer asks for guarantees that I will deliver the domain, that this is not a scam etc do I offer ebay as a trusted place to "meet". I have never listed a domain on ebay in hopes of somebody stumbling upon it.

Thats a good new idea to me - sending buyers to ebay. But the 90 day payout is a bit long. With Paypal integration the payment should be automatic IMHO since ebay owns Paypal. Bet its just another way to squeeze sellers for more profit by having sellers` money in ebay`s account for 3 months accruing interest. Probably a few millions that way considering the volume of transactions on the site.

I didn't know that there was a waiting time for payout at ebay. I've always received my payments immediatley through paypal. I checked at ebay and it is a restriction only for new sellers or for sellers that are below ebay's standards. This page has some detail about it: http://pages.ebay.com/sellerinforma...line/deliver-great-service/fundsavailability/

Anyway, in that page I see some waiting period depending on the circumstances of the seller, but nothing as long as 90 days. Where have you seen that 90 days info?

----------------Thanks for the link. HOW do you tell eBay that you delivered the domain?

It's quite easy. You just change the status of the sale to "Shipped" from the list of sold items.

Yes, I've been selling domains on eBay continuously since 2008.

Sold 2x 5L.com's last night.

Tried it at some point, but to much work for to little profit. And don't get me started on the risk taking as a seller.

Maybe it works for others, I don't know anyone who sell there regularly.

***UPDATE!!***
I spoke to eBay. For the first month there is a few limits, 10 listings total & $500 total in selling amount...I am going to send invoice prior and a screen shot that the DNS (??) has been changed and send it to eBay to get paid immediately or it may take 2 weeks. It looks like they MAY up the limits if you call them...It's all pretty wishy-washy

Thanks for the info. Is the $500 the total for each domain name or the aggregation of 10 listings? Just want to clarify.

You are allowed 10 listing or $500 total.

The $500 total means that if you list 1 domain for $500 then that's your limit used.

Like I said in my above post, been selling domains there since 2008 (some over $2k) and I've never had to wait for any cash. It's all been instant to my PayPal.

The reason people have to wait these days is because they are new and on some kind of probation period. eBay had to bring in a product guarantee system, if you don't get your product, then you get your money back. To save eBay from paying this, they hold the seller's money for 90 days.

I'm sure if you are selling there for a year, restrictions would be lifted. If you look at it from eBay's point of view, there are so many scammers/criminals these days that they would be losing a ton of cash without the restrictions.

It's amazing in life how much scammers/criminals cost every person. Just one example out of 100's, the lock on your front door is to stop theft and the lock costs money :)

Thanks for the detailed reply!

You're welcome :)

I think there is a rule that if the buyer gives a positive feedback, this indicates they got the product and the money is released quicker.

That's not right. In most cases I get paid same or next day. There must be some confusion here.

Also, I was looking at some 3L .biz Chips on eBay and they all sold over $300. Getting that price here on NP is highly unlikely IMO.

How long have you been selling on eBay forge?

Are you a top rate seller?

Since 1998. I'm not a power seller or anything. Haven't sold for awhile actually. But my feedback is just shy of 500.

Should clarify, eBay member since 1998, not sure when I started selling.
