(Yes, including 4,0)
it's a bubble or planned action by speculators, why buying 100 exchange tyres for a car you're going to sell next year ?
The Chinese love them. Why are numerical domains so popular?
I see. any particular kind or does length matter? The Chinese love them.
Sure, but only 2.62 million 7N without 4 and 0.
Correct 8^7Actually only 2,097,152
All gone even with 0 and 4
No, not yet
All it takes is 1 chinese sanction on domains and a lot of investors are out of big money.
Smart investors should be in and out on these trends. Jmho.
Well, you just never know with the Chinese government...
Remember the crackdown with .cn? Eventually, they did sort of back off, but still...
One thing to consider: Verisign is located in the U.S., so the Chinese government reach would be severely limited. And citizens of repressive countries are quite resourceful.
Definitely food for thought, though...
Lets see, 456976 x $10 (LLLL.com). That's gonna be some expensive renewal fees. Unless you have Chinese/Western premium or repeating letters, I don't see the point. I am ironic, of course.
Each LLLL.com is worth at least around $200. I don't see many end users for xokj.com which is not Chinese neither Western premium neither has repeating letters neither is pronounceable. However, it has stable floor price of around $200. By that logic it is OK to believe that each 6N.com could have stable floor price of $100.
I think floor price of $100 will not come immediately, but it is very reachable.
We might be witnessing of a new era of domaining! So many buyouts of short domains lately! This must mean something. At least, it will be called "short domain bubble" in the future and kids will earn about it in their schools. But whoever already took 6N.coms and similar domains get them for reg fee or slightly over reg fee and we almost don't have any risk of loosing money.
On the other side, this might be really a new era of domaining and 6N.coms and similar domains might become extremely liquid and with stable floor price above $100+. Who knows!
Some points. But I think they'd worry more about how stocks and old monies are being affected than those companies who bought up domains.
For those who are afraid of a Chinese government intervention on domains names investments, just do this small computation:
Let say Chinese investors will/have register/ed all 6N.com, all 6N.net, all 7N.com all 7N.net, all 4L.net, all 4L.com, and all NNNN in let say, 50 extensions (we are still far from this scenario).
This represents less than 30 millions domains. 30 millions x 3 years of renewal fees is less than 1 billion.
This is just nothing regarding the volume of oversees Chinese investments (6400 billions): http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/5136953a-1b3d-11e5-8201-cbdb03d71480.html#axzz3qtFiGRDJ
Conclusion: don't worry, Chinese government don't give a damn.

Finally, a few hundred 6 com is my registration, thank you concerned about China , the number seven is also fast bare. No 40, you quickly registered a number of it!
Not registered you have to beat the big retreat
Thats controversial IMO. why are they repressive? cuz they are not living in countries that are like yours and mine? i dunno man!And citizens of repressive countries are quite resourceful.
