thia is one of top recent reg sales in history.. If not numero uno

Creation Date: April 2021?

Whereas Meta,,Market was created a month earlier in March 2021.

For example, @domainnews had reported the sale of Smart,, Click for $10k citing it as a 8 month hold. However, that domain has a 2020 WHOIS year, which is the same year that member was asking for domain appraisals for that name, so likely a 2020 acquisition? Prior to 2020, that domain had been held by some prominent nP members such as @ealfert and @webquest ...

I'm not talking about the sale in the OP specifically, or going to mention any other names, not least because if the sales are genuine the individuals have got deeper pockets than me and could afford better lawyers in the event that they decided I've defamed them.

But I'm always highly skeptical of high $$,$$$ and $$$,$$$ newTLD sales, as I'm sure the registries have long ago identified influencer marketing as a great strategy, no difference from getting a buzz for a consumer product on Instagram.

That is to say that... some people might be induced to report a big sale, in exchange for X or Y (be it money, credit, some free renewals), so that other speculators become more interested in the extension.

Just like paying an 'infuencer' to do a post saying how much you love a new lipstick brand.

if I owned the .shitdomain extension for example, I'd probably happily give somebody 25 free .shitdomains or $500 if they pretended to have sold this.shitdomain for $50,000 on Namepros and Twitter, because of the 100 odd people that would go on to register a load of .shitdomains.

The sale is true. Read her past comments on namepros. She mentioned it a year ago too.

Ahhh... So we were lost in translation... The recent post in reported sales was apparently quick hand reg sales, just not hand reg sales from 2024...

My maths wasn't adding up when I was assuming they were recent 2024 sales.

It was a lucky sale during meta rush. Just like how Facebook bought meta.so from Nikul for USD149,000.

yep... I sold
meta,one 6 or so yr back. so even before rush. too bad only 5k. during rush it would be maybe 50k hahah but then 3yr back I sold metaverse,one for 20k

so good meta stuff has or had value. but u really needed that one keyword meta or metaverse before the dot
