It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Or did they have multiple ways to do backorders with different price points, ie like they had multiple ways to dispose of expiring domains, too???

You got the special price if you had a domainer account I guess? Same for regs and renewals.

Regular users have been paying like $35/year on renewals.

'At cost' pricing only showed up for me when I was logged in.

Didn't notice sooner but TLD-List.com removed Epik.

Same for expireddomains.net. Not sure when that happened.

@aelko i much prefer tldes.com over tld-list and would be nice if you removed epik from your list of registrars.

Also noticed digitaldollar.canada is parked an for sale at epik. A message with link to this thread is in order via cira contact form. Dont need more people ripped off by EPIK, yes Rob got the ball rolling Derek but EPIK.com continues to burn people.
Still think brian Royce just a finger puppet for Rob monster. You guys and gals running around in circles now for what 8 months.
We should all book a .99 domain at epik, then go reggae it elsewhere and do a chargeback. Maybe 1000 chargebacks get attention from cc company.

Definitely, I second that. It's not like they will be payed any commission on the purchases they bring in.

Unless they get payed in mastersucks obviously.

I am not blaming for you getting got. I am simply reminding you and everyone who created it. The last people pulled into a ponzi are the ones that get burned, that is how ponzis work when they implode. I don't think Royce was working for anyone, at least not directly in daily operations kind of things at all, except for Monster. When I spoke with him he was working closely with Monster and communicating daily. Also, Royce isn't as smart as Monster.
I've been busy all day and just saw this. Yep, when the ponzi got killed, I got stuck holding the bag. That was the gift I got from Rob Monster and Brian Royce. When I got the offer in the marketplace, I reached out to Rob to help me and he did. I have a long email exchange with Rob, helping me to negotiate the offer. He was involved and guided me through the process. I didn't even think twice about using his escrow service. I trusted Rob. I had known him for so long, long before he became a registrar. I only had the one domain parked at Epik, didn't visit much. It was just sitting on his marketplace since 2015 when he asked me to move it over there and he would help me sell it. I didn't even know he had an escrow service, but decided to use it because it was convenient. Funny how it popped up on my screen right at the right moment. Yep, he got me. And so did Royce. And I still think there are others behind it, but perhaps they can now claim plausible deniability. Oh we didn't know! Who us?

When the Monster was selling your name, he knew he wouldn't give you a dime, in fact, he was selling his name.

More like he was selling his soul if you'd ask me.

But yeah, he knew.

Yes, when your transaction happened Rob / Epik would have been well aware of the $327,000 "escrow" payment that they took in May 2022. Epik did not deliver the domain or a refund.

You figure if they could have paid this money back, they would have.

It also happened on Brian's watch as CEO. So no excuses for him either.

Allowing "escrow" transactions like this, knowing you can't pay the money, is at bare minimum insolvent trading.

Well, a friend of Rob's sold beer.com on Sept 2nd, for $500K. I assume he took my money to pay Luke.

No, that's not the way that liability works. You entered into an agreement with Epik, and it is certainly apparent that Epik, Epik Holdings, Monster and Royce are jointly and severally liable to you for various aspects of what was done to you.

The guy who steals your hubcaps and then gives them to someone else to sell back to you in the parking lot are both liable to you as a consequence of their joint enterprise, even if they start pointing fingers at each other and claiming lack of knowledge of different phases of ripping you off. There are certainly interests who would like to preserve Epik as a going concern, protect Royce in his effort to keep the crazy boat afloat, and pin the whole thing on Rob because Epik serves other useful purposes to those interests.

Beer.com is worth a lot more than $500K. I doubt it sold for that.

That domain sold for $7M almost 20 years ago.

Hmmm. Luke told me that he sold it for $500K and was put on a payment plan.

Who is Luke?

I am highly skeptical as the value of that domain is way over $500K, and it would not be that hard to get multi-million dollar offers in my view.

He helped me develop Candida.com with Rob Monster back in the 2010 timeframe. He's an old friend and a shareholder.

It just seems highly unlikely. The domain was put up for auction in the past with a reserve between $1M - $5M. I would assume it was on the higher side.

https://domainnamewire.com/2021/11/...op-com-and-other-great-domains-go-to-auction/

It still appears to be owned by the same party that owned it then, Ammar Kubba according to the lander. The lander refers to "valued well into the eight figures" for the package.

That domain is in strong hands. I would be shocked if it traded hands for a number less than several million.

No withdrawal until now :( I made a request since january (second one, I had to cancel the one I made on november 2022), and they took up to 2XX$ as fees knowing that they already took escrow fees when the buyer paid!!!

Yes, I do. Rob Monster was and has always been the chairman of the board and could have fired Royce any day he wanted. Royce's compensation was shares in Epik so of course he is going to do anything it takes to keep Epik alive. He and Monster's interests are aligned and they are similar sorts so of course the actions and outcomes will be similar. The only person responsible for the actions of Brian Royce as CEO of Epik is his boss, Rob Monster. The one thing you can count on with people like Monster and Royce is that they will do whatever is in their best interests no matter who it hurts.

We all know Monster was forced to take on a new CEO because he made that very public with much drama to many people but you have to evaluate decisions based on the info and situation when they were made. At the time of CEO transition to Royce, Monster was on a spending binge, $500K/yr on two faith healer nutjob grifters, home remodels, buying a bunch of dumb companies, etc etc. There was a real need to bring in someone that would slow the burn because Rob Monster is delusional and greedy. Once I learned how Royce was compensated and spoke with him I knew what was gonna happen no matter who suggested him for the position. Its like a farmer has a problem with a wolf killing his sheep so he buys another wolf to scare off the wolf, they're just going to work together as a pack and end up killing even more sheep. The only thing shocking to me in all of this is that it has gone on as long as it has and no one shut it down, ICANN is MIA, credit card processors keep processing, coinbase still converting. Insane!!!

Anyway, that is all in the past, the question is where are we now. Well, I believe from the things Royce has said and done publicly recently he is no longer the CEO and is currently working as a consultant/broker for the sale of Epik or various assets, probably on salary plus commish and on Monster's dime, similar to the GADO deal and it'll probably end the same way...lol. But maybe they will put together a deal and sell off the assets and pay back the creditors, that would be great. As an expert profiler and recruiter/broker myself ;) Royce is actually probably pretty well suited for such a position so let's hope for the best for everyone, except Monster of course.

And who knows, maybe this search isn't an exclusive deal so if you bring a buyer to the table you can get Royce's commish or at least a piece of it. Let's work together to sell Epik's ass ets.

Pay the people back Rob Monster. Sell you greedy, grifitng, lying SOB!

Rob Monster please hurry up and file your response to the Adkisson lawsuit. I've been very bored lately. I so want to hear how the deep state forced you to make a giant ponzi scheme and steal millions for your home remodel and why they made you steal Kathleen Kalaf's retirement money.

Thanks for clarifying that.

Brad
Yes, it must have been a variation because someone else checked on it for me and told me the date it sold was Sept 2, I believe.
