Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Not my sale, but just saw this good recent single 'v' sale :-

vstation.com $3,950
2017-10-17 Sedo

Be interesting to see if it's virtual tech related, I'm a big believer in single 'v' domains (for virtual) and their potential representing VR/AR.

Hey @Sinfully Wicked, are you getting any sales action with the .co.uk extension? If so, what $$$ range?

Hi guys, I recently acquired FreestyleVR.com and VRFreestyle.com. What are your thoughts - are these any good?

Also, assuming you were to pick just one of them, which would you prefer and why?

Thanks in advance for your informed opinions!

Has anybody had any luck with ccTLD VR domains? I've so far just stuck with .com's.

A nice way to end the week...

I'm happy to report a kw+VR sale of $2500 via Afternic... Money has been received and I'm just waiting for the transfer to complete... I'll let y'all know the name and particulars once the sale is in the bag... :xf.grin: (PS - I'm loving the recent uptick in sales activity... Let's hope it continues thru the end of the year and beyond!)

Okay, the money's in the bank so here comes the "reveal"...

Sound VR / COM was the name... (I was actually offered much more for the name after it entered Escrow by a "late" bidder... but the deal was already done... [I've only had this happen once before in all my years domaining... Oh well, you win some, you lose some...])

Still, not a bad ROI on a 3 yr. old hand reg! ;) And the VR beat goes on...

PS - I just put my names on Afternic a couple weeks ago, and I already have yet another VR inquiry... I gotta say, I'm impressed with the Afternic listing results so far... (Never really liked 'em before, but I think their 2013 marriage with GoDaddy has really greatly increased the professionalism of their brokerage force and the scope of their reach...) (y)

Congratulations my friend! Thanks for sharing. Great sale! Awesome ROI.
VR continues to heat up as a tech and is just warming up in the domain space. The offers continue to role in and sales will follow. The surface has yet to be scratched. Congrats again!

good sale!
but an even nicer keyword.. so I personally would hangon more.. oh well.. to each his own..

so weird for your double/triple bidder right after.. rare event indeed!

closest related I own are .com

rhythmVR
VRnoise
VRspeakers
VRsinger
singerVR

how are you listing on afternic? do you use bin for increased exposure or all makeoffer?
I find the bin process there whereby you then need to approve domains on each registrars really tedious process. seems every registrar is different for approval.. and some plain do not work!!!!!!

cheers

It was a "make offer" and the Afternic broker contacted me...

(PS - I agree the whole BIN / "Fast sale" process at Afternic is a pain. Most of my names are currently regged with Uniregistry - who is not a member of their system - So those BIN sales with an automatic transfer would be a no-go for me anyway...)

I've seen lot of GoPro style VR videos (skiing/biking/skateboard) etc so maybe will be good if someone wants to build a VR app/website around that?

Both are good, but If that was me doing it I'd probably build it around FreestyleVR (y)

Nice one mate, congrats!

I don't have any of my domains on Afternic, but seems a few people have success with them, so mine are going on there this weekend.

Thanks for sharing (y)
