Mixed reality and bots / A.I. I would advice people to think about this subject. I personal have many MR bot / A.I. related domains. I really think this will be the next big thing in combination with mixed reality.

When the bot is you

Thinking about bots.

We all know static content and live content. Bots are a fusion of both. They are interactive and smart. You can manipulate the bot / playing with the outcome / discuss the situation / director of the content. Like pets they react to your commands. But they are far more intelligent then pets and can simulate real life situations.

It could work even better when there are cams in your room recording / analysing your emotions. This way the bot can react even better. But the bot can also analyse the emotion in your voice. Analysing face expression will be key. Think about smiling / flirting with a girl.

http://www.theverge.com/2016/4/7/11380470/amy-personal-digital-assistant-bot-ai-conversational

The smart bots are coming and this one is brilliant
Amy, a digital assistant who schedules your meetings, just raised $23 million

The potential for easy adoption explains why companies that failed to capture the smartphone market, like Facebook and Microsoft, are so bullish on bots. They see these helpers as a herd of tiny Trojan horses that could help it connect with consumers.

Amazon, whose smartphone attempts also flopped, has its most exciting new business in the Echo, which features a smart assistant named Alexa you can control with your voice. Like Cortana and Siri, Alexa is the command and control bot, a generalized AI that can handle a variety of different tasks. But it can also connect you to various smaller bots with a much more limited and focused repertoire: Alexa, call me an Uber. Alexa, play me this song on Spotify.

Now replace "smart" with MR (oxymoron because MR is the equivalent of "smart" tech).

I will stop posting about bots. Don't want to overtake this thread...

Cheers.

Good one. Also did a lookup for this domain yesterday.

I am investing heavy in domains the last couple of months. As i said earlier all the reg fees do add up. But i know it is important to feel first the "pain / expense" of investing money into something but when the time is right enjoy / reap the benefits. The benefits will by far out take the pain of the initial investment.

Also good ones. But i am not a big fan of the long mixed reality keyword. But that's only a personal preference and all that matters are the sales to end users. I am sure this domains will sell.

Good to see them going to you. They did come accross my mind (couple of days ago) but i hesitated to reg. Did reg a couple of other MR+Keyword adult domains. But if more then one domainer is thinking about the keywords this is a good signal.

By the way. Been regging a couple of new handregs in king today:

MRHoloBot
MRHoloBots

Have been regging a list of Hol (short version of Holo) domains for companies willing to brand in the style of Tumblr, Flickr etc:

HolCasino, HolGirls, HolGirl, HolCams, HolPoker, HolGraphic, HolGraphics, HolBots.

And 2 of the 3 most important adult keywords in combination with Hol (one recently dropped).

I do have all the Hol domains full version in combination with MR+Holo+Keyword. (included 3 most important adult keywords)

The thing is. Microsoft new platform is called: Windows Holographic and is supporting VR/AR/MR. If people are searching for content for this platform there is a good chance they will add VR, AR or MR to the Holo search query. I don't want to miss out and left food on the table with the Holo keyword. Because of this i have made some additional Holo investments.

Sold sensory+KW for low x.xxx

Did you mean with KW: Mixed Reality or MR? (you can PM me)

Great sale by the way! B-)

I'am at the moment very busy with all kind of things but wanted to share my congrats and thank you for listing the sale. Let this be a great start for more mixed reality domains sales on a regular basis. Nice timing also with the end of 2016 in sight. Having a nice chunck of money for renewals @ 2017.

Just some thoughts about when this mixed reality tech will hit the stores. The SEO of Microsoft was calling it in a recent interview a 5 year journey for the HoloLens. Not expecting a launch for consumers before 2019 / 2020. Developer price of $3000+. By far not interesting for consumers.

I don't want to be a bringer of bad news but for most MR domains it will be years from now before there is a actual consumer market / interest from end users. I don't know how far Magic Leap is but if the roadmap is comparable with Microsoft it will take time / years. And even when the glasses are hitting the stores there must be enough software / games to be worthy buying.

I really have MR and Holo domains for the future. I am hoping my VR network is strong enough to generate a steady revenue next year. VR gambling market is still very small (i am making a big loss on this for 2 straight years already) but i know the potential and have been succesfull a couple of years ago with promoting casino. This is the reason i take the beating / losses and still keep on renewing my VR gambling domains. VR adult market is my backbone i ques for revenue / affiliate / domain sales. But there must be a strong rise in traffic to get a ROI. VR adult traffic is rising but not enough to be impressed. I hope the market explodes the next months.

But i keep being positive for a big end user sale somewhere the next months.

I like to add. Even when we are years away from a mixed reality device hitting the stores we all know domainers are regging tech domains years before and are speculating / investing. I have seen this for Holo+Keyword domains most are regged between 2009 and 2011 and some as early as 2003. It is a difficult situation because you must be willing to renewal years before getting a ROI but when you don't reg somebody else will do.

It's all part of the domain game, if you handreg future tech domains you will have to sit and wait.

I follow someone who gets quite a bit of inside information, and gets to meet lots of companies in the tech world.

2017 - 2018 is going to be big years for mixed reality.

What you have to remember is most of these companies work in large elements of secrecy.

This person receives large amounts of inside information. Microsofts hololens is well documented to have FOV problems, be too heavy and they are doing the right thing refining this device.

But they are working on cheaper mixed reality solutions through partners that will hit the market next year.

Some have doubts if Hololens will ever get a consumer release.

If the ceo says the hololens is 5 years away from a consumer release then he's doing the right thing not trying to push a product out when it is nowhere near ready for consumer adaption.

I think the truth is many competitors have took a differen't approach in the tech they have used and have found a balance of getting a better FOV and weight before Microsoft.

Microsoft were pretty much early in the game of producing a mixed reality headset, truth is others who have come in after have found different components and techniques.

Worth noting the same ceo said mixed reality will be brought to consumers in 2017 when it was announce it will be selling products made by partners.

2017 has also been a year mentioned for a suprise magic leap roll-out. They have been employing a lot for mass production which is a move a company will make only when they are getting to the stage to produce products in mass pending a launch.

My view is 2017-2018 are massive years for mixed reality. The problem is with the hololens as a product, not mixed reality as a tech ;)

Microsoft are working very hard getting companies to produce content for their device, once it is released there will be lots of content for consumers to choose from. The same can be said of magic leap, they have sealed some pretty big contracts within the sports industry and big movie companies. They hired a really well renowned game developer or wizard as they like to refer to him.

Every single person who gets their hands on magic leaps headset got to sign a disclamer form. Nothing gets out publicly unless they want it to.

As said lots of this stuff is happening behind the scenes.

Worth also noting if you are searching google there are huge amounts of articles saying VR and AR is the future.

This is to be expected at the moment because no company has yet done a push for mixed reality.

But some pretty big companies are clarifying their tech is not AR it is Mixed Reality (MR)

Just remember this little equasion guys

VR + AR = MR ;)

Mixed Reality is a new format. It doesn't do just VR or AR. It combines elements of both and creates a new reality that interacts with the world around us.
