How did you measure this? Did you have a list with mr domains? Following trends / registrations with MR on a special domain data site?

I am back from a visit to my parents. Talking about MR to my sister and grandma from 86. But then you have stubborn people like my father and mother. Are not interested in tech and i am trying to warn my father about the shift in technology, it will be extreem and a lot of companies will be obsolete or can't compete anymore in the market. I am telling him it might be a good moment to claim his retirement funds and pay the 10%? withdrawal fee and step out of the market. Invest in gold & silver and some land & real estate. But like 99,5% of all other people he don't want to hear about it...

How do you guys think about this? The impact mixed reality will have on a lot of "service, retail" companies. Yes some will profit from it but the old and big companies... can they stay on top of it? I think new startups will kick their ass and the stocks will plumet from a lot of companies because of imploding sales and revenue.

It will take a couple of years for mixed reality to be there but the shift will come.

If there is no major war or crisis coming - which is unfortunately always possible - I think it will take maybe around 5 years when mixed reality has become an everyday item such as smart phones are today. In my opinion, the technology will first mostly be used (within the next couple of years) in industries / businesses.

Decisive might be that for end users it might require a really light weight mixed reality device which is comfortable and easy to use (maybe like normal glasses or contact lenses). Of course it also depends for which purpose: living room (entertainment) or everyday gadget that you wear all the time (on the street).

Quite exciting how this all will develop.

Wasted some money on other domains but i think this group of domains can make a nice profit when the HoloLens is launching. You win some, you lose some i ques. Hoping to turn my investments into a profit within the next 3 months with a big VR, AR or MR sale.
