Some thoughts:

2015 --> Very early birds. Some premium keywords drop and are there to take for a reg fee.
2016 --> Early birds. Good amount of decent single keyword left for regging.
2017--> To late for good handregs. Maybe some lucky drops or using a auction / catch service.
2018 --> Expecting some nice MR offers / sales.
2019 --> Offers and sales on a regular basis. Massive growth of consumer market and value of domains.
2020 --> Having a lot of money (i hope) and travel to nice warm countries and stay in top quality hotel resorts for most of the year. This is my ultimate goal... being some kind of a expat enjoing life and invest some money in other projects for more passive income.

Observation:

It's getting harder to find decent handregs... captain obvious lol but until recently i was able to find some.

But i think the regular thread users / visitors are already having a nice portfolio.

My current portfolio of hundreds of domains is costing me €5000 a year on renewal fees. But i wouldn't invest in anything else besides VR/MR and some AR / Holo. Feeling very confident about the future because it will be a straight rise in value for years to come. The rise of a new consumer market and a (strong) disruption for the status quo. I already see a nice rise in traffic for my "red" VR domains in last 6 months. The next 6 months will be very interesting and exciting.

I have a very special feeling for a couple of my premium MR domains oa PokerMR, DatingMR, CarsMR, HotelsMR, SlotsMR, TubeMR, CamsMR and more. Like a once in a lifetime investment. The potential ROI from a end user sale or future affiliate sales is exceptional. I can not wait to get rich and have enough money to enjoy life to the fullest.

From the start in early 2015 with namepros i have this avatar with the follow meaning:

In Greek mythology, a phoenix or phenix (Greek: φοῖνιξ phoinix; Latin: phoenix, phœnix, fenix) is a long-lived bird that is cyclically regenerated or reborn. Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor.

VR and MR must bring me wealth to start a new and better life.

Maybe a little over the top to post such a emotional posting but i am sure more VR / MR domain investors are going all-in and for me this is the last possibility for a upper class lifestyle.

Just to add some signs of good fortune for the year 2017. (Google Trends: Mixed Reality)

I have regd my first group of MR domains back in December 2nd of 2015: PokerMR, SlotsMR, ForexMR, CamsMR, DatingMR.

Couple of months going by without regging MR domains with the exception of TubeMR at the 4th of December.

But right at the 28th of February 2016 i was right back at it with regging CarsMR, HotelsMR, SlotMR.

From April on i have been regging a lot of MR domains.

Funny to see my regging pattern in line with Google Trends.

Let's hope the growth and value of Mixed Reality and our MR domains will go to new hights in 2017. I wish all the best for everybody on this thread and i think we can all agree for having exciting times ahead of us.

I think the only mixed reality domain I have is MixVR.com I have other names that conjure the idea with different terms though.
