Some ppl really need to learn how to acquire domains

This occurred during the holidays, a week back.I thought it was kinda funny, so I figured I'd post it here.

I received this email outta the blue by [email protected] :

hello friend,

i want one 4 letter domain name..Give me Any one 4 letter domain..We can exchange..Pick one domain

These domains are terrible--not worth regging, let alone owning. And he wanted a LLLL.com for one of them. I played nice:

Thank you for your offer. Sadly, none of your domains pique my interest. I'm willing to do trades, but these domains of yours are regfee at best. Do you have anything better you could offer?

The brainiac gave me this gem of a reply:

ok..I will register you one free .com or .net or .org or .biz,
Give me one 4 letter domain for me.

Now, why wold I just GIVE him a LLLL.com for a domain registration? I told him:

Sorry but no, I can reg a .com @ GoDaddy for $1. I cannot trade you a LLLL.com for something so trivial. Happy holidays!

There was no reply.

I understand trying to make a deal and getting a good offer, but this was pathetic at best. My LLLL's aren't million-dollar domains, but he was gonna REGISTER me a .com in exchange for a LLLL.com?

Some ppl, I'll never understand...

Saying where scams are coming from is not racist. I wanna know how these people get emails to newly reg'd domains with a different whois email/ whois privacy GoDaddy has been the worst for me, almost every domain I reg there I get spam relating to the domain I reg'd.

I apologize if sounded like a racist statement, but 95% of spam emails I receive comes from people from India.

Not only domain, but also all web related staff. E.g. on daily basis I receive 'web development' emails from .in email address, each time different name in signature (english names) but with the same Skype name - seocompanyindia. Disgusting.

I get these stupid things all the time, mostly "businesses" who wanna help me develop a domain I have no interest in ever developing. I reply to them all with this:

"If you have to SPAM to get customers, then I assume your business is shitty and I'll never consider you."

It never yields a relply
