16.com and 19.com Have Just Been Sold

The staff at DN.com have revealed this week that the domain names 16.com and 19.com have been sold to a Chinese buyer. The new owner is listed as the CEO of Chinese brokerage service 62.com, but these two names are likely to have been acquired on another investor's behalf.

Whilst the prices haven't been revealed for these names, I have been told by a source that the two names were sold for a combined minimum of $4.15 million, but as I say, the exact prices haven't been revealed.

Why Do Domainers Register Junk Domains?

Following on from the topic above, another investor has asked the question: "Why do domainers register junk domains?" Is it just a case of inexperience; not knowing what makes a good domain name in the first place?

There are many differing opinions on what makes a poor domain name, and also many opinions on why these names are registered.

Are Outbound Domain Sales Important?

Having a large portfolio is great, but if sales from inbound enquiries are not enough to keep a continuous cash flow going, should you be considering conducting outbound domain sales? This discussion says yes it is.

Whilst inbound enquiries tend to be more profitable in terms of the price you can achieve, outbound sales are often seen as vital to some domain owners. What's your opinion?
