Why aren't people interested in my site???

I personally think its not a horrible site. My forums are dead, and I get no visitors. Alexa has had me ranked 616,236 for too long. Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my site????

You need to go on an advertising spree Make the link in your sig bold for starters. And color it.

try having new content at least once a week, people dont want to see the same stuff over and over. also, it may help to have an occasional prize raffle or something.

Also, it's not that they're not interested in your site, cause if they weren't, they'd visit it and say something like, "oh, I don't like this site" but it would still get visitors.

You just need to advertise!

As for prizes, give away... hmm... software? Legal, of course.

Secondly, where are you advertising? Chances are people at namepros won't be interested in online games and music.

If your interested in pulling people off of search engines you have A LOT of work to do.

Searches done in August 2005
Count Search Term
22251 music artist
7242 country music artist
7205 christian music artist
2082 music artist search
1167 new music artist

Place some of these keywords (the ones you think are most important) in your TITLE tag and meta tags, dont let your title exceed 70 characters. Make sure your title still makes sense, dont just put a bunch of keywords together, arrange them so it explains your site and makes sense. If it confuses people, they will be less likely to click it, even if it is higher ranking then before. Make sure to place these keywords on the site aswell.

Next is to find some link exchange partners and directories. I dont see a link/partners area on your site. You need to make one, feel free to sign up for my Reciprocal Link Manager tool at: http://www.MyLinking.com. Once you get your links page setup start searching through the web for some similar traffic partners. Make sure to use your keywords in your link title text, So, the actual link will say your keywords, this will help you rank up on those keywords aswell.

Next write up some articles about your service/product/what you do/etc... Something that people will find interesting. Make sure to put a link to your site in your article.

Your design would look nice as a poster or something, but for ease of navigation and web look its kind of confusing. I dont know what are links and what is not, seems like things are all over the place, not organized very well, just some things to think about.

From a quick look you need to get the user enticed in your website. First You need to implement an eye grabbing headline that will cause curiousity and make people to read on. Right now it just says "home"...This will not make anyone excited to read on. Also you have not optimized the site correctly...You need to focus on 2-3 popular keywords per page and then implement these on your pages. Title is the most important tag but also work on improving the google page rank as well as keywords in the anchor text, header tags as well as post in forums and blogs with your signature file..

I think first off center it and put a 1px black border. That will make the site look good. As for the rest of the stuff get all the band pages up and fully functional. Have news on your front page about different bands playing at locations. Then start marketing your site. You can do it as simple as putting the link in your signature. Namepros hits pretty high.

You site seems way too broad. By visiting it I don’t really understand what kind of music community you are serving. Maybe consider starting regionally or in a small music niche.
