Hey everyone,

my site binbid.com has been down for over a week and i cant solve the problem for myself. I have tried everything including reinstalling it but i feel i am overlooking something obvious so i need a fresh approach from someone. It runs a PHP Pro Bid licence and i fear it may be something to do with that but there support is kinda clueless on what is wrong. There is nothing wrong with my hosting and all the files are present in my ftp account but it just wont display?

Any ideas on what is wrong?

Thanks

erm... try writing your own page (eg: <html>Hi</html>) and running that. If that works then I think you should try and download a new version of that script.

If that dosen't work its something to do with your host.

thanks for that man. ill have a go and tell u the results :)

ok just done that now. www.binbid.com/thisisatest.html

Comes up with a banner so it must be the script. It was working perfectly a week ago then just disappeared? Why could it have done that?

I don't have a clue.

Bit of a silly question, but do the files of the script actually contain anything? They haven't been corrupted or deleted or anything right?

I think that you should try and download the script again and then install it again. If that dosen't work then you should contact your host.

yeah, checked the files and they are all fine. this is strange.

I have contacted the guy who provided the script to me, as i dont have access to an updated version as he had an unlimited licence for it apparently :)

If you reuploaded them, you should also check to see that each file has the proper permissions. If not, CHMOD them. In fact, why not try CHMODding everything to 755 or 777 and see if anything shows up? Also, try accessing a file, not just the index.php. There may be something wrong with the htaccess file, if there is one.

I think its the problem with the Mysq service which is running in your server . Can you make sure whether mysql service is running properly or not ?

PHP Pro Bid sold me defective software also, after 13 emails and 2 ignored support tickets, they still refused a refund and actually dared me to do a chargeback saying it wouldnt go through. Lucky for me, I work for the bank and had my money back in 4 days.

this is the requirements of php pro bid:
Minimum Server Requirements
ยป 10MB Web-Space
ยป Apache Web Server
ยป PHP 4
ยป 1 MySQL Database - MySQL 4.0.22 or later

PHP Pro Bid also requires the creation of a Cron Job. The cron job keeps your site up to date and refreshed. It controls the time on the auctions and closes them when an auction has ended. It also automatically sends out E-Mails to users. We recommend setting this up via your hosting control panel such as Cpanel. If you don't have access to a web hosting control panel you can set PHP Pro Bid to run a cron job through the admin area.

Your server should also have the GD library (2.0.15 +) installed as well as either Zend or Ioncube.

you have zend installed, I don't see a need to install ioncube on it.

we'll just go to church as it is a Sunday here and I'll come back after 8 hours.. will work on it, possibilities of installing ioncube loader to show up your page. Ive changed admin userid/password will send them via pm when i returned back. thought you might want to be updated every step of the way.

if you register a domain from NP go into your domain manager and check if hostname: mail is first change it. Same thing happen to me i changed it like 50 times and it works. If not than edit the .htaccess

Your problem is your SSL is installed wrong or somewhere in the script you activated a SSL option and did not set it up right.
