The sale was before DN Journal's time, right before the Dotcom Bust began. Not sure whatever happened to it, but if you look at some of the other ridiculous names which went for similar sums in 99-00, it's not that crazy imho.

I bet the guy that sold beauty.cc is still laughing even though I doubt that stock is worth much anymore. The company that purchased it does still exist though but from their website they dont look like the type that could afford $1 million and I dont think they own the domain anymore judging by whois and also it must have dropped since its been reged since 03 according to whois. Still not sure why they would buy it when at that price they could have bought the .com and then they let it drop?

I have limited experience with .cc but from what I have, I can safely say that it's near worthless... a fluke sale comes every now and then.
