4. To Kill a Mockingbird (spare but powerful black-and-white classic)
5. (TIE) A Christmas Story, The Princess Bride (have happily watched parts of them many many times)
Also good: Notting Hill (some fine writing, a large step above the typical Hugh Grant movie)
