I was wondering what everyone thinks about the best way to aquire type in domains is, how do you personally do it? Do you find them yourself or buy them? The tips thread seemed to work well, perhaps people can share tips about this.
One way I do it is finding them myself, however, this can take a lot of trial and error - they can be hard to find. Do you think is it still possible to find good ones that are unregistered or do you not bother with searching and just buy them?
Buying them also works, but often if a site has traffic, it is not due to type ins but instead, to search engine traffic or other sources. So it is hard to know 100% if you're getting a type in domain.
Some people find them through drops. To me this is a mess, very confusing, perhaps I'll get used to it but I find it difficult wading through hundreds of terrible names.
