I have a couple of infos that do okay for themselves and as near as I can tell, the best reg advice is if you would search for the word "info" or "information" with the core words, people will find you.

For example:
Social Security Office Information or socialsecurityoffice.info

IMO the relevancy of the extension is as important as the length of the domain.

This of course may be common sense to some, but it took several months for me to verify through experience.

Well it's not always the case but I wish that's what everybody thought because it makes the most sense. That's the only way I will reg a .info or if the .com, .net, and .org are taken.

Both type ins and search engines, and I hoped I was providing advice, but feel free to add more tips.

I'd expect pretty much zero from socialsecurityoffice.info in terms of type-ins. Too long, wrong tld. If you have stats that show otherwise, then please do correct me.

On the other hand, you're right that the extension fits the domain so the name has value. Developed it has a lot of potential.

To find the value of a .info, I really don't think you should look at its natural traffic; it'll be years before the extension has sufficient exposure for that to be a useful guide. The value of .infos is in sales and development potential.
