The other day a good buyer of websites in another forum was vehemently
opposed to buying dropped domain websites.

If there are no valid trademark issues why shouldn't a site developer
after taking the time and trouble and money :) to scout for a dropped domain and develop it expect a good price?

Maybe senior domainers can throw some light on this?

Regards,
Kannan.

It's sometimes difficult to tell what the domain has been used for in the past. Even sites like www.archive.org aren't totally accurate or comprehensive when it comes to shining a light on a domain's history.

The domain may have been banned or "sandboxed" by Google, meaning that it won't show up in their search results, or at least as prominently. :gl:
