My observation...
I see landing pages daily from all over the place ranging from independent small portfolio holders, large portfolio holders, registrars, parking companies, marketplaces and even namePros. However, it's more rare to se animated headers, themed for a specific domains niche. Just a little movement at the top, to grab the attention a bit more from the visitor and create a visual correlation to the domain asset.

According to psychology and marketing 101, that attention grabbing movement with visuals the visitor can relate to, could potentially stimulate more curiosity, keeping them on the page longer to read something they may not have read otherwise.

Anyways, that's the theory.

So, I made a batch for some of my namePros Landing Pages to see what that idea might look like and personally, I think it makes them pop a bit more. Of course, the more targeted an animated the header is, the better it brings the asset + visuals = curiosity into play (Hypothetically).

Some of the ones I came up with (Only showing 5, but I have a large variety batch and can make as many as I need):

Generic Digital That Could Work for Various Niches

Questions for you:
  • Do you already use animated headers on your sales landers? If so, have you noticed a difference between static and animated headers?
  • What do you think of the concept and psychology behind animated headers on landing pages?
  • Do you think attention grabbing movement on a sales lander could help or does it not matter at all?
Note: You're welcome to use any of the 5 headers I listed above on your own landing pages if you want to see what they look like. Alternately, you can see what the following namePros landing page looks like using one as an example: iW.ax

I look forward to hearing about any experiences or thoughts regarding this approach.

Great job Eric! I like the idea! A little movement can make a landing page feel more alive and help the visitor notice the main message faster.

He may have seen everything going on in the world today, which can be a bit confusing, unfortunately. lol

I have my own dedicated inhouse rendering machine here leveraging 85 different ai models to create what I do, that's not connected to online models. So, its unrestricted with no caps, no blocks, and no revision credits needed. It was a $2k investment to break away from paid models and bring the tech inhouse, exclusively.

For instance, the models I used for the above on my inhouse machine were: Python, WanGP2.1, LTX2 (Distilled), Flux.2, WindowsCS, Pinokio, kDenLive, Invoke, Z-Image Turbo + Nvidia GTX 5060 w/8gb vRam

If you want to play with some free online versions to start learning, see how i did my music videos at first, before i invested into my $2k machine: https://www.namepros.com/threads/sh...-industry-related-images.1351853/post-9564478

They got much better after I stopped using free and took it inhouse. But you can use those to learn on, until you're comfortable enough with it to invest in your own machine

Good luck! 😉

Example updated to be a tri-niche target header..

Live and animated example at: iW.ax

Actual Animated Header:

Upper portion of namePros sales lander (Screenshot with no animation) to give an idea:

Note: This was just a quick playful update, it probably could have been much better. It should at least give an idea about niche targeting the animation with the domain asset though.

Thank you, Eric!
I like the way you describe how wax can be used.
Three great ways, - in three great images.

Reminds me of all the flash slop that was thrown at us back in the days . Quality content is king.

Ya, it's not for everyone...
I played with flash for a little bit (over a year) before tossing in the towel on it. Not too long after that, flash started phasing out and losing support.

Using ai models to automate or speed up production and work flows isn't going to phase out like flash though. Automation has been a pain point in multiple industries and ai has allowed for automation to become a reality. It's even allowing some companies to rapidly scale, where they couldn't before.

I agree about content being king...
Always will be. However, motion marketing captures attention and boosts dwell time by hijacking our brain's involuntary survival instincts. It bypasses reading fatigue to create instant engagement through micro-interactions and visual contrast.

These were interesting reads about motion marketing:
I can see where motion marketing can still work in today's digital and mobile world. Though, a really cool attention grabbing static graphical header might also be effective. Motion, just seems to be more optimal for pulling the eyes away from naturally drifting left to right and stimulating the urge to look back left again or to scroll down a little further for the full picture of motion, to see what it's about real quick before leaving (Retention 101).
