Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

A very interesting observation... I've also noticed a "knock on" effect with my long-neglected 3D names... VR may be the tide that raises all three-dimensional-related boats!

VR media without 3D is just 360 media That is a technical reality.
3D is a important part of the media scene as it applies to VR
How important of a keyword remains to be seen yet. I had mentioned that a few times in this thread.
I still hold many names from the 3D era that started about 8 years ago and decided to keep them around in 2012 just because of VR, as they still remain relevant. How relevant ?

For some, it will be a chance to use the keyword they are after, by just using a also relevant 3D keyword and for others, it will be the most important keyword. But 'less is more' so I don't expect them to be worth more than those same names without it. i.e. 3dvrcams vs vrcams .
But good to note with my example that not all vrcams are 3D and therefore not immersive and less desirable. So something could develop to make some names like them more valuable.
A wait-n-see. At the least I would not sell them short this early.

And on the note of VR media,
as I suspected, Amazon, Netflix and perhaps Hulu will be players in this space.

More likely Amazon and Netflix will control the distribution of the major VR media content and only give us limited opportunities.

Indeed virtual pregnancy is very interesting. I can see VR used for pregnancy exercises, simulations, echoes.. Even I would use it to feel pregnant If Schwarzenegger can I can too

Examples:

VR3DPoker / 3DVRPoker (visitor is searching for a vr poker game)

VR3DSlots / 3DVRSlots (visitor is searching for a slots game fully 3d)

I have also regged other 3DVR/VR3D combo's in early 2015.

It will be interesting to see where this is going...

I agree, everything in moderation. Pick a few and make a play.

For VR, I have only 16 3DVR / VR3D names with a very strong single keyword.
And directly in TLD's like .xxx . Not a fan of the other TLD's for the medium/3yr term anyway.
But about 30 other 3D names from times past that are still relevant in VR since they relate to media.
The other 3D names I hold relate to 3d scanning, printing, replication and model files. Long term hold.
