Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

VrChat.net is the homepage for an Oculus Rift social vr app.

According to this article :

There are also similar meetups in another social app already out for Oculus Rift, VR Chat. It has the usual talking functionality, but also full body avatar controls. Since it runs on the popular Unity graphics engine, people can import their own avatars or build their own room. VR Chat has also been opening things up to allow new things such as simple shooter games.

"We want the world of virtual reality to be what you want to be, not what we tell you it's going to be. That's why everything we do is about user generated experiences. Our community is building the experiences in VR Chat. Not me. We give them robust development tools and they build their own avatars, they build their own environments," says Jesse Joudrey, CEO of VR Chat.

I picked up VrChat.org on the drop just a few weeks ago.

Hi Page,

Great to see you again on this VR blog :).

I always liked your feedback on Domain Sherpa especially from an investment point of view.

We would love any feedback and thoughts you may have on VR as you are already successful with buying and selling domains in general.

Are you still going to be on the panel with Domain Sherpa?

I hope all is well with your business ventures in .LA as I'm sure that was the last time I saw you on the domainsherpa panel mentioning your new ventures.

Cheers,
Jase NZL

Hi Josh,

One was inbound & One was Outbound.

I guess the inbound (email) was through my recent Flippa Auction that caught many eyes!

That was a 30 VR names-list for auction, but evvvvery one was interested with individual domains!

Still many offers are pending & lotta negotiations goin onn...

Hoping some more reasonable sales...

Cheers!

thanks jase. i dig these communities of interest.

so i started with vr on my search list in 2005-2011 and always liked it, but that was in the days of keywords are everything... so usually was the only snapper or bidder on tdnam.

held, actually dropped prices a couple of times.

then this year ive sold about 10 vr names. vrchat.com being the best.. just got regular money for it which was fine with me. im a fixed price seller. funny buyer never moved the dns so i get about 1 offer a week now... just t remind how good of a name it is.

so im down to about 80 vr names, im selling off 50% of them, then ill reset prices higher with what is left.

just got to where too many to manage.

heres what i have left

https://sedo.com/search/searchresul...4f583d7effbf8e384fc678f877543bb06&language=us

.LA is doing well, picked up innovate.la as a user and theres 3 weeks of big events in la coming up for Innovation Week. plus lots of restaurants, ad agencies, studios etc using .la

and in fact its in LA that VR is really rockin..

lastly took a stab on 3-5 vr.newtlds, had about 10 in my cart til they were grabbed last wednesday.

so im a vr fan, both the of technology and the name

vrui.com is probably my best , looking for about $5k.

page howe

also sold virtualreality.xyz at $399 which was a nice return on the $9

Hi again.

I think IMHO that VRPOKER dot com is the jewel in the Crown of your VR portfolio. It will give much satisfaction within a short time.

Glad to see a VR veteran here, probably you and @mrcurly have the best domains.
One question: what do you think about AR/augmented domains?

Views on VirtualReality<keyword>.net names??

Is .net any good with these long keywords??

Risky. There is so much riding against domains like that if you expect to find an end user. The .net may work with really choice keywords (like VRchat for example), but when you're registering really long domains names it will be difficult. imo.

so ill take on AR

so very few people know what it means, augmented reality, and then of those we need a huge number of startups using AR, to exhaust the available domains at reg fee, to want to buy ours at premium.

then everyone has to agree what ar means, so im not invested to heavily- i may look at some new tlds

nothing wrong with it- maybe like comparing UAV and Drone, both should do well but one has more punch.
