status-invalid Strikethrough in usernames

Hello Namepros Team,

Is there a reason why strikethrough is allowed in usernames? It causes confusion as accounts that have been closed/blocked also use the strikethrough as indication of this status. Can we disable/block the strikethrough (or for that matter, most formatting options) from usernames?

Thanks Kenny. Let me try to find another account that's not suspended with the strikethrough. Pretty sure it was possible!

Btw, Premiums showed as online less than half an hour ago. Would it be safe to assume that the account was suspended in the last half an hour?

You can be suspended and still log into the forum.

Yes there was a member here who used the strike through so it was possible ( not sure if it still is. )

It is not possible (and never was) for a username to contain a strike-through unless their account is closed.

There was a way to place a strike through the user title (text that appears under the username) for a short while, but we removed that capability a few months ago, because several members confused the two: strike-through on username vs. user title.

The member that did it in his user title did it as follows: Account Closed, which effectively tricked several members into thinking his account was closed when it was not.
