Smart Ftp no longer FREE! (Cry)

So now that smart FTP is no longer free
Smart Ftp users
will you buy it or find new software?
if so what?

I know i dont want to buy any new software got to many renewals coming up and im a poor cheap bastard
tho its cheap and worth it!but there are many free options!

so i have been on a hunt for a new free ftp software?
so far I have tried
FireFtp and love it!
i think its my new one

I also tried FillZilla and I didnt like it to bare plain and not enuf features
I was lost on filezilla!
also I like my local on right server on left I couldn't figure how to change it on
and i like tabs im a mutli tasker!
i could only open one at a time?


I really like fireftp but i like smartftp better!
i want em both fireftp for quick small jobs smart for big1s
but i guess ill have to resort to Filezilla for the big jobs!


what R some good free options?
any recommendations?

any thing similar to smart ftp?

You found filezilla too basic? It uploads/downloads files and has multiple connections - what more do you need from a FTP program?

Thanks for the message but I dont use torrents!
and also i would not use any cracked software to connect to my servers! Id be skared that they would rob my info!

yea i dont know why they discontinued the free services!
I actually think it was always paid software they just had long trials!
i remember havening to reinstall due to expiration many of tymez !

yea to bare! I dont like it at all!
multi connections?? how??? by breaking your current connect ?
there is lots of features i dont like!
i just 2x clicked on a file to open it on my local and it effing uploaded the file! with no warning!!
I like my local to preform like a normal file explorer!
not some strange new unique format!
and only upload files when i click the upload icon or drag n drop not every time i 2x click a file!
i did figure out how to switch my local and server so my local is on the right!
but still not happy!

I use CuteFTP but its a paid license. Dont know whether they offer a free version but its the best I've used

yea thats the best part
tho i forget that im already in my browser often!
but as of now i think i would prefer smart ftp over fireftp if i could only have one but im still new to it so time will tell!
& guess im SOL if i dont want to pay or use cracks!

I will second the Core FTP recommendation. I switched from SmartFTP when they started charging, and the change was painless. Core is a nice app, free and does everything SmartFTP does for my purposes.

I have been using Smart FTP since 2002 I think, but no worries guys, FileZila is just as good, if not better. :P Your login information aint even saved so you dun have to worry about your 'login' log being messed up with multiple login informations. :p
