Show off your customized parked pages!

Hi everyone,

I would love to see examples of what other people have come up in terms of customizing their parked pages. I think this is a good idea since it will inspire people to do better with their pages when they see what can be done with the limited customize options.

To kick it off, here are a few of my custom pages at Bodis:

http://MountainViewAreaCodes.com (Problem is, I think I am giving people what they want, the area codes, so there is no need for them to click anything!)

http://Bandylegged.com (Silly handdrawn logo using Paint and goofy pirate text using as many pirate buzz words as I can muster in a tiny space.)

http://PartituraDeAccordionGratis.com (My attempt at a Spanish site. My limited Spanish vocabulary forced me to double check it all using Babelfish. Wish the links could be in Spanish too. But yes, that LONG url does get visits!)

BTW, this thread does not have to be limited to Bodis. Feel free to show off some of Parked.com's new features too!

Those are mods of the smartname templates. It is really not an open parking system but if you have a large number of names and a clean portfolio - no TMs etc. then I might be able to get you an account. PM me for more info.

Thanks for your offer aj. No time at the moment to look into that.

have a look...

www.sbava.com and www.ph5.info both at bodis

I notice that on sbava.com all your links on the left navigation only show 1 sponsored link "Canis e Gatis" here in Portugal. Is that also happening in Italy?

Some more examples:

www.2010-SouthAfrica.info - www.MacauCasino1.com - www.RomeSkyline.com

The colors are all right for the theme and the target; however IMO are a little too bright...try something smoother! Regarding the picture (that actually is an animated GIF) I don t think there is any issue using it as it seem one of that freebies of the 90's...don tthink anybody will complain! :hehe:

Looks good. You could add a few more links on your Rome domain as well. As for your Italian Dog site, after your doggies have run around the lovely streets of Rome and are all dirty and sweaty and in need of a good bath and grooming, then you can send them to www.boutique4dogs.com where they speak every doggie language in the world, capiche?

BTW don't forget that Bodis does not allow Adult Domains.

Here are a few more examples:

www.Best4Refinance.com - www.AutoLoanFlorida.com - www.CyclingLegends.info

Ok..going to post this one that i have at bodis.www.childrenspartydirectory.com

Any input would be appreciated on the colour scheme..not sure i like the colours i have picked.

Also i was wondering if some of the more experienced of you could answer a question. The picture i used is from a previous version of this site before it expired and i picked it up.I got it from going through the way back machine. Is that ok???...sorry if that seems like a dumb question. :hehe:

The graphic is very eye catching, but I also think the colours are too bright (like thetruman says) Try to use more pastel colours like for ex.

F8C4FA for the top Header,
FAC2F8 for Left Navigation,
F8E40A, or F7F3C4 or D8EBF5 as Background
and 780979 for Header and Left Navigation Text

I didn' test these colours, just my personal taste tells me they would look better. Try them out and show us what they look like. But don't forget that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

Here are some more examples:

I heard that Parking Panel are good with Adult names.

I will make sure sojabean.com becomes a part of the Doggie Menu. We can allways add a little pasta and if they start getting a little overweight then we have 2 solutions; www.Easy-Diets.info or www.MedVet.info

Here are more examples:

www.MadeiraEmbroidery.info - www.BestSafariGuide.com - www.EuroHiking.info

Am I completely off base here, but I thought it was against pretty much all parking companies policies to link to your parked pages.....

Am I wrong?

Grazie thetruman, and yes it is a shame about the .info but when I bought the domains I did not do enough research so I ended up with about 40% that are .info. The rest are all .com except for 3-4 .net. Now that I'm stuck with them might as well try to get something out of them.

Your domains look very nice. Here's www.NueRap.com to compliment your Danitycane.net and this one www.GenericFood.info is the opposite of your biopros.net

Here are some more:

www.HybridCarTrends.com - www.healthynaturaldiets.com - www.SoSexyLangerie.com

There are many very nice looking color combinations for Bodis pages. It would be great if people could list their color codes in addition to showing the site.

Maybe a nice collection of the best combinations would help us make things look better and save time.

Hey verbster, I would have no problem doing that if someone asked for it, but people's colour tastes varies a lot as you know, but as an easy alternative you can also use this neat little free tool that gives you the colour code when you pass the cursor over it. You can download it from:

Nice Job Gil. How is your revenue on this www.Best4Refinance.comwith Bodis?
I would like to know as I have similar sites for Real Estates.

Maybe you should goog and look for information on about the refinancing process and add it in the middle of your welcome. This works wonder for the crawlers.
