Hi All! :hi:

By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas! Happy Holidays!

Always,
Keith
(on behalf of Sedo)

Ouch! I hope those are the only rules they bend....:ghost::guilty:

nops. for instance, you can't list a domain above 10K without asking for an "expert analysis" via an Appraisal. the intention is to not pollute the market with insane prices. But a simple look at the "Top Domains" and you will find time after time some domains with insane prices.

Funny,,,a poster here is SEDO.
Yet answers no questions, does not clarify what others say about sedo.

One would think if it really is SEDO posting here, that sedo would want to clarify all these negative things said about sedo.

has anyone had any great success with Sedo's Great Domains auction?

I recently just had a domain accepted and wanted to know if these auctions actually boost domain sales

no, SEDO only posts when they have something to market about. also against facts it is better to keep the mouth shut up. finally this thread has little impact with SEDO. it is more like the zuum, zuum of a bee.

Results will vary but you definitely have some buyers with big wallets if your name is good enough. LLL's & CVCV .coms almost always sell.

Sedo parking page in Firefox: page redirects to a "Sponsored Listings" page

In Firefox, when I load one of my domain, let say anonymize.me, it loads the standard Sedo parking landing page, with the "The domain anonymize.me may be for sale by its owner!" message. But after 1 second, it redirects to another page with Google ads but containing no link advertising the domain is for sale! There is a small "For Sale by Owner" link in the right column, but this link doesn't lead to the domain page on Sedo!

In Chrome or IE this doesn't occur!

In Firefox: http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/1109/firefoxo.png
In Chrome: http://img861.imageshack.us/img861/904/chromey.png

What could be the problem? Could it be a malicious extension I installed in Firefox that would force a redirection so someone make money if links are clicked?

Have you ever seen this?
For those of you using Firefox, can you tell me if you are also redirected?

That page without the sale link is the one displayed if the name is using the Sedo nameservers but is not yet listed for sale. But, since you've obviously listed it, I don't know why it comes up.

Anyway, I'm using Firefox and I'm getting the correct parking page with the domain sale links.

It's weird, I have no idea why this happens only in my Firefox.

Thanks for the help.

Might want to try another browser.

My primary browser is Opera and Sedo always gives me shit for it.

Adblocker does this, so thats my guess (or similar addon). Sedo are going to fix this six months ago :)

No hacker maliciousness :)

Selling by Parking

Hi. If i park the few domains that i have at sedo, will that increase my chances of selling then? I've read that some folks have gotten buy offers this way. Thanks much.

Sedo sucks you know what!
Yes you have a better chance of selling your names at sedo if they are parked there as they will be listed above the ones that are not parked with them.kinda like a little treat for the faithful, lol
I made dick all from sedo, never had a sale there, and their ads suck.Just typed in ConservativeMajority.com in my browser since stephen harper just kicked some butt and is a parked page at sedo, with a bunch of domaining ads on it.
if you are gonna park at sedo, make sure you use the correct keywords and make sure the ads are relevant to the domain name. And dont expect to make any money from them either, from what i experienced with them in the past you will need 3 clicks a day just to break even lol

There is no extra charge, you only pay the agreed price.

The seller pays part of the price to Sedo as a commission.

Check with Sedo about what payment they accept - it can depend on your location.

No extra fees for the domain itself, but a fee if you pay by PayPal. And if you pay by wire transfer, there may be some bank fees.

Pay by credit card, if you can, to avoid any fees at all.
