Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

Did Afternic/GD ever explain why they removed the search feature within a seller's portfolio?
I've been testing the Namepros Portfolio Marketplace, and I like it alot! It's so quick/responsive, and changes to portfolio settings seem to take place immediately.

As long as they don't decide to drop the Afternic side later on in a corporate restructure.

Afternic doesn't really exist, other than a front-end for domain investors to load marketplace listings, so I have no doubt it will eventually disappear, regardless of any sale or takeover.

That would be bad news; Afternic is a good performing marketplace.

It may be a bit creaky compared to the new startups but it does deliver more than its fair share of sales.

My point is, that all intents of purposes, Afternic no longer exists and it's now just a listing front-end for the GoDaddy domain marketplace, where you can search and buy domains. Even the old Afternic brokers are now GoDaddy brokers.

Basically, GoDaddy kept Afternic on life support simply because they didn't want to spend more money developing a GD frontend. That's why the whole "Why keep Afternic and get rid of Dan" question was not a real one, as neither platform was going to truly live.

👋

Happy to help!
You're both members of DNS-OARC (GoDaddy as Gold member; SIDN as Silver member).

What could go wrong? :xf.grin:

I'm certain it will work out.

What's the most probable reason why someone calls GoDaddy/Afternic (BIN lander, the price recently reduced from $2.5k) and the lead is not marked as confused by now? Some lowballer saw their chance to offer $0 or maybe a cart/checkout issue? The latter would be very concerning.

 How long do you think it will take GD to follow suit, given that you're talking about innovation?...
Given it's the weekend, I'm not expecting RFC10023 implemented by Monday.

If the offer price was $0, then yes, those are always lowballing fools calling Afternic on the phone and looking to buy the domain at reg cost. I always ignore this crap as I have yet to see any my "$0 honeys" ever move their bid up, let alone even hit my minimum price.

Have you changed the price recently? If so, this is most likely the cause of problem.

Approximately 24 hours after changing the price, domains dissapear from GD reg path (that's why the landing doesn't show the price), while Afternic dashboard still shows that everything is working correctly.

I've already reported this several times, but nothing has changed so far.

My advice to everyone: from time to time do a bulk search for your domains on GoDaddy.
And if any of them are unavailable, resubmit the listings.

@GoDaddy please retrain your employees (or AI SI agents), this level of professionalism is mind-boggling

You know, I really hate getting a pile of "Friday offers" as you just know that the Afternic brokers won't get back to the buyer until at least Tuesday, which clearly lowers your potential of making a sale.

And I seem to get a lot of offers on Fridays. :(
