My uncle registered http://www.JeffersonGeneralStore.com several years ago for his business. We are about to revamp it and transfer it to a new host. THe company we used is DomainNameRegistry.com. THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. He has reregistered for several more years so that is good. The problem is that he cannot find his registration number so we can change the name servers to a new host. We have tried to contact the company for about a month but they do not respond to phone calls and do not answer our emails. We are stuck. Is there anything else we can do? Can we go above them?

How did you pay?

~ If you paid through PayPal, file a claim against them, :) (That should open their eyes!)

Domain Name Registry is a reseller for their actual registrar partner enom. You
should contact enom (www.enom.com) and ask them what to do.

No problem. But your uncle committed a classic newbie mistake: getting the
domain name thru a hosting provider instead of an actual registrar.

Better move if and when you can. I won't be surprised if the hosting provider/
reseller will impose inflexible conditions for transferring out.
