So GoDaddy sent me an eMail today telling me that my DDC will be $9.99/month when I renew it.
Uniregistry is looking better and better.

Pro Tip: Turn off autorenew for DDC. Let the product expire. Repurchase DDC using a 35% off code.So GoDaddy sent me an eMail today telling me that my DDC will be $9.99/month when I renew it.

That's how I feel about most "buyers" in the Requests/Wanted thread, here.I won't deal with Uniregistry. Only because they don't have decency to even respond to emails you send to DomainNameSales support or even extend the courtesy to notify you if your account is approved or not after investing your time to apply. Emailed them 3 times no response. Who wants to deal with a company like that...

Price increases suck, still cheaper tho, especially on new gtlds:

I picked some random ones, GD beats them every time. So it wouldn't take many for the Godaddy Discount Club to be worth it. Just looked some more real quick, couldn't even find 1 extension where they beat them.
The other thread here, the rep came and went and didn't answer many questions.
That's the standard pricing on Uniregistry, I'm sure they would offer you better prices on your new gTLD's than that if reached out to.
Don't have any new gTLD's, not a newbie. Plus, I would never in my life put my domains with a competitor, making them money, which they in turn use to compete with you in the aftermarket. It's just not too bright.
My bad, looked like the new gTLD pricing bothered you. It ain't exactly only newbies that have gone for new gTLD's but that's another story. What registrar should you use then, where you don't feed your competitors and still get decent pricing?
@JB Lions - I move away from GoDaddy several years ago. They are not Domainer Friendly, and I fear about all the stories of over-reach (or under-reach) all over the internet. I wouldn't want GD to suddenly lock my account for some unsubstantiated reason. I have found my account rep increasingly inflexible over the years. For example, I always used to get discounted DDC renewals, but since the increased pricing, no discounts. I have to wait for my DDC to expire, delete it from my account, and buy it again with a coupon. This doesn't make any sense.
Apart from that, the one thing that broke the camels back for me is they only allow you to do approx 120 whois lookups a day. After that they the ban your IP address for a 24-48 hours, which messes up any more whois lookups. With mid Xk domains, this was a real pita, for me. It messed up my database in a really big way. At Dynadot I get 5k whois lookups a day, and they went overboard with accommodating me, when I started doing this remotely.
The differences in support is as different as chalk and cheese.
