not sure if this would go in this section...

We’ve been exploring different algorithms to detect content farms, which are sites with shallow or low-quality content. One of the signals we're exploring is explicit feedback from users. To that end, today we’re launching an early, experimental Chrome extension so people can block sites from their web search results. If installed, the extension also sends blocked site information to Google, and we will study the resulting feedback and explore using it as a potential ranking signal for our search results.

Until now I have always written my own content. Recently I have been looking at sites for sale on Flippa and found some of the autoblogging tools. Obviously G is aiming this at auto/spun sites.

At the same time some of the automated content can be appropriate. For example, I build websites about collectible glassware. It makes sense to include links to auctions for similar items on Ebay to show visitors a wider range of products.

Has anyone experimented with some combination of automated and unique content blended in a positive way?
