The auction has already raised a very respectable amount of money. It'll be remembered for a long time to come and talked about in the same breath as other big domain name auctions... Isn't that enough?

Are they allowed to even do this by their contract? Seems extremely unprofessional (Sedo and/or mtld, whoever is behind this).

Strange. At the last second, they just added 30 minutes to every auction. Now they are milking it.

The crash seemed more unprofessional, frankly, so I don't see a problem with it. And I imagine that only Sedo is going to give the final okay on something like that, so they're the ones "behind it" in the final analysis.

In the sedo domain news section, it does say the auction will go to 3:30pm EST. I don't know how long it has said that.

Obviously they are Sedo insiders going for the publicity, same as Rick Schwartz at TRAFFIC.

The auto-extensions were working at that time (music was extended before the 30 minute extension) and continue to be functioning as witnessed by sports.mobi just cracking $100,000.

The winning bidders will have control of these popular generic portals way into the future of the mobile internet.
