To keep the above thread focused on the issues being discussed, I’ll try to post here periodic updates as more and more domains exceed their reserve prices.

I do not think it would be fair - either to the other bidders who thought they had 5 minutes to decide/bid nor to Mtld, the owner of the domains.

Not that I really care how much Mtld gets, but if it were my domain being sold I would be furious.

The reason I am saying it would be fair is that auctions are about risk and those who took the chance to bid up and not wait for the final thirty seconds took there chance just as those who were holding out to get the best price for the final seconds to not over bid, imo.

That would be nice. But they MUST to inform everyone about it and to extend auction at least for one day to be fair at the end.

i think thats how they will do.
they have everyones details, they know who, how & when bidded on every name. wont be hard to email all bidders to say when they will re-run last 10 mins, but they gotta sort their hardware out as it sucks, AND stagger the end-times.
they really are jokers.

Some bidders may have received emails saying that they have won the auction, however because the system was down the highest bid at the time the system failed are not binding according to our terms and conditions.
