it will depend on the reserve prices...many in the last auction went high but not high enough to meet reserve...I think about 6-8 of these will actually change hands...imo

There are roughly 12 - 15 good .MOBI's on there ... I'll, for the purposes of discussion, cut that in half for "Reserve Prices" being too high equals approx. 7 .MOBI's viable for sale. Probable lack of End users, Traffic venue, unanswered .MOBI questions, and various likely auction misque's, I'd say resulting in ~ 3 - 4 actual sales (amongst domainers), IMHO. :music:

You have take some good with some bad. It is possible that Moniker may be attempting to push up prices of some of the bad ones with sales of the good ones. You know.....momentum buying. I have seen this technique used at fine art auctions. Some of the worst paintings will go for mega-bucks simply because the high-end artwork sold for premium prices.

Watch for sales of the NNN, Games related and Poker Mobis. I still think that those particular ones values will fly into the stratosphere.

Only the very best names can succeed in that kind of environment. Until management can get more end users to the auction there won't be much change IMO. If art auctions were only attended by dealers then the prices wouldn't be as high.

Ouch, I forgot about that (the $499) ... plus the auctioneer / escrow fees, correct? Are the transfer fees different from the Live to the Silent auctions? :gl:

Strange, some of the .mobi do not serve the purpose of commercial. Yet their reserve prices set so high. Governerisland even more expensive than 888.mobi. Unpractical.
