Hi all. What in your opinion, are the fundamentals of marketing and selling domains?

So far I have:

  • Listed my domains as classifieds on Sedo, Flippa and Undeveloped
  • Approached relevant companies who may wish to own particular domains via cold email, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Contacted a couple premium domain brokers and let them know what I have
  • Run a couple auctions of my most promising domains
  • Created a website listing all my domains
What advice or resources would you suggest for marketing domains both to 1) resellers and 2) end users?

More of the same? I'm fairly sure I have at least a few good domains. Any particular tips or tricks I should implement to start selling?

Thanks all.

K

I think you've done pretty much what is needed. If your names are good, it becomes a question of time. Sit back and relax, rinse and repeat.

Thanks, that's good to know I'm on the right track.

I've heard the term "domain development" here and there. Does this just refer to a clear lander with pricing & the option for the visitor to contact me / make an offer?

Or is there some next level of "development" I'm missing here?

That would more likely refer to building a website for each individual domain.
