I have a mini case study for this question. Honeyjar just raised $2M pre-seed. They might not buy the .com yet, but I checked the price out of curiosity.

Honeyjar.com is listed on Above with “Make an Offer.”

Let’s say you were Honeyjar and wanted to make an offer, how much would you offer?

Now the main question: how do you decide which domains in your portfolio should be “Make an Offer” and which ones should be “Buy Now”?

$10k opening offer to start.

Depends on the quality of the domain:

* Inviting offers can devalue the best domains.

20k = 1% of that seed money......

Would also be curious to see what people would accept as an offer if they owned it....

As the seller, I would try to get at least 2% of their raise.
