There are following reasons why I like N-NN.com more than N-N-N.com

First
5-65 - you can pronounce as 'five sixty five'
5-6-5 you have to pronounce as 'five hyphen six hyphen five'

Second
5-65 looks like phone number
5-6-5 looks like I don't know what...

Third
When you search 5-65 in Google you get results
When you search 5-6-5 in Google you get empty page with a link!

L-L-L.com are better than L-LL.com but N-NN.com are better than N-N-N.com
Time will show who's right :)

No... you get 700,000 results for "5-6-5"

At least I do.

This is what I get. A page with no results. Of course you can view results but you will have to click on a link one more time.

Yeah, I agree. I wish I didn't spend $10,000 into these names which I could now easily get $40,000 for to resellers while over 25% of them are developed and there are regular end user sales over $1,000 popping up. I'm a sucker, should've sticked to some "real" domains.

Are you aware their are companies with L-L-L.coms and companies which are
buying L-L-L.com for low $x,xxx to use for their start up businesses, which
they cant afford to buy a LLL.coms.

Funny thing is a few years ago LLL.coms was only selling for $xxx

Another thing if were the ones buying L-L-L.coms so whos paying the $x,xxx price for them ? is it domainers or companies ?

Take a look at the $x,xxx sales

b-a-r.com sold for $3,500 December 2007
k-i-d.com sold for $995 October 2007
c-p-i.com sold for $4,500 October 2007
u-a-p.com sold for $3,500 September 2007
a-r-m.com sold for $4,000 September 2007
m-p-t.com sold for $5,000 August 2007
p-i-e.com sold for $4,000 August 2007
c-m-m.com sold for $2,500 March 2007
m-o-i.com sold for $2,500 December 2006
f-h-s.com sold for $700 March 2005

now go to b-a-r.com what do you see ?

now please prove me wrong that b-a-r.com isnt a company ? facts are facts

no one should listen to anyone they should only listen to them selfs and do what makes sense to them.

One mans post/word can be wrong, time will tell and time is telling.

Have a happy Christmas.

biggie,

have you at least read this thread before saying we are not using our brains?

i understand the opinions of those who dont believe in these kind of names and respect them but it would be much more reasonable if you, after reading that thread, said something like "hey people, these names are very speculative"... i would agree with you and you would have info to keep your POV

the countdown didnt suckered us... the countdown happened because who started the L-L-L.com topic asked if these names had value and after researching (as you can see in the link i posted) we saw the potential of these names

there are many more reasons i could state here but they are in the thread in the link

Looks like someone missed the boat. :hehe:
Some of the best success stories comes from the people who heard the word NO countless of times but still continued on with their gut.

I noticed you have a1-online.com listed on your site and many more hyphened domains as well. Hmmm I think I see a hyphen in there no? And your asking price is $$$$.00???

i've owned "a1-online.com" for at least 2 years or more.
during that time, it has delivered consistent traffic and revenue.

how many of these L-L-L-L are doing the same?

i regged a "one" hyphen name recently and it got a $7.36 click yesterday at fab

so, i'm not against hyphens, i'm against the hype that many are falling prey to.
i'd rather see newbies regging "reduced-priced-air-line-tickets-for-sale.com"
than any "L-L-L-L-L-L.com" name.

some of you go out and reg all the "choice" ( for lack of beter word) L-L-L-N-N.com names then come back here and start these countdowns and the lemmings follow YOU to the bank...while they ain't making nothing.

sure it's a good strategy and no doubt those who start this, are making dough...but imo, it's off the ignorance of newbies that you profit.

taking advantage of others is not the way i do biz

that's how i see it

but i guess a fool and his money are soon departed, as the saying goes

when the "L-L-L-L-L-L.com" are all bought up, let's see how many drop when renewal time comes.

BTW: all my asking prices on the site ( thanks for looking ) are $,$$$. ;)

Biggie this thread is for l-l-l.com not l-l-l-l-l etc,

Your wrong about l-l-l.com thats why you only see me posting about l-l-l.coms.
As for l-l-l-l-l etc i cant say much as i have none and wont be getting none,
Maybe someone with a l-l-l-l-l etc could post on the l-l-l-l-l etc thread with
their statistics why or why not you should be regging them.

can we all stay on track this thread is about l-l-l.coms not l-l-l-l-l etc
so why is l-l-l-l-l etc being talked about on this thread ?

any comments on L-L-L.coms biggie apart from that word you use with a "C" ?

L-L-L.coms have genuine endusers -- as evidenced by multiple $X,XXX sales and large percentage of developed sites. I've seen far more L-L-L.coms sell for 4 figures than hyphenated 5+ word dotcoms, so no, I don't think newbies would be better off with the latter...

You said it yourself bro and answered your own question. Your a1- hyphen domain gets you consistant traffic. Take for example 1-0-1.com. 226 unique per month! This is my domain as an example. You get a business wanting to brand their name in the shortest possible way that it could be remembered and say ABC.com is gone and far out of reach so you offer them A-B-C.com instead. Do you see a difference right away? No. But they do at a discounted rate for now ;) and with the same search results to boot! Where would you turn to if you were branding a company for global .com? and with no trade mark issues aswell? ;)
