I have created single page website on some of them, and put a " for sale" sign, rather than just keeping a parking page.

I have an year to find a buyer, if can not be sold, I will let them expire

That would be better than parking. You could also be creative. LA-W, whilst the first thing that comes to mind is LAW, could also stand for many other things, like Los Angeles Writers (you name your word beginning with W).
