Question about an l-l-l-l(.)com

I saw the thread about l-l-l.com values and was wondering about the next step up. That being said I have an opportunity to buy a pretty solid l-l-l-l.com domain. Would you guys say that there really just isn't any chance of a good sell despite the name or does the end user factor apply? Any and all info would be appreciated, thanks.

Achaias,

To help clarify -- is the domain you're after a "LLLL" or "L-L-L-L" (with hyphens)?

if its a random L-L-L-L.com then definitely dont waste your money. If its a super premium keyword like P-O-R-N.com then maybe go ahead and get it.

Honestly....

please think about what kind of end-user would want a domain name before you buy it..

If the answer is none... (insert common sense here)

I agree with domainspade. But one on side it has excellent seo purposes.

Unless you have something nice like:

l-a-m-b.com
t-e-x-t.com
f-i-s-h.com
ect.

It is worth nothing.

Thanks for all of the info here. @Etab it is an l-l-l-l domain which is why I was questioning even touching it. I'm not one that usually would mess with even l-l-l but saw an opportunity in this one. It definately is a premium name but I wanted some opinions before I do anything hasty. Thanks for the honesty its appreciated. Common sense would tell me I'd hate to type in all of the hyphens :td: but who knows kids these days.

llll.com's are gaining in value because all the lll.com's are taken. Even than, only good llll.com's are worth anything more than reg fee.

The fact that there are still plenty of l-l-l.com's available, unless it's a good l-l-l-l.com, it's worthless.

This week a local business (Mesilla Valley Training Institute) launched a site at www.m-v-t-i.com. The domain was registered in 2003 but was unused. I don't know if they bought it from a previous owner, but was surprised to see an L-L-L-L used as an active site as opposed to being held on speculation. m-v-t-i. Who wudda thunk?
