Hello everyone,

I was having a debate that I think it's interesting, which 4L.com is the most valuable in the world right now? I believe it's King for several reasons, but specially for the deal of the year in 2015 with Blizzard acquiring them for 5.9 BILLION, this has to make KING.com the most valuable domain name in the world right now, or does it not? I cant think of any other that could top this.

Perhaps on this one we should just look at simple google results and the winner so far is HOME.com with over 15 billion , then NEWS.com so far in second I think king.com is just coming out of the gate.

I think Home refers to the Homepage link Anchor Text which is probably the most common word in websites followed right by News link Anchor Text also, I'm almost certain of this.

Just wanted to point out the fact that the deal was for the website and not the domain. Had the domain been called Lmnopqrstuvwxyz.com and had the same revenue, they would have had probably paid about the same amount to acquire it.

PORN.com for me personally as its something that we've been consuming for a looong time and it doesnt look like its going to go away anytime soon. King is nice but a fraction of any of these service related domains.

So many great names in the 4L space - just looking at this page alone i can see the following...

I think the big question is here:

Did Activision Blizzard Inc. Overpay for King Digital Entertainment?

Also, they should of bought Game.com instead for that serious amount of money. I think Game.com would of been more fitting

King is just a brand to them. I remember when it was sold the last time. I don't like the idea of a "King", but I assume the players feel like "kings" when they win the games, so Game.com might actually not be the best name for this site.
