    That's generally true for .com, shorter and older the better.

    New gtlds can be like a new neighborhood with poor houses, but there are still a few mansions.

    I like the remark about houses and the inverse being desirable about domains. There's a magic about something/someone so big and famous it/she can be spoken of -- and people know what you mean -- using as little a name as possible. Like entertainers, who know they've made it when no one bothers using their last name anymore.

    Do people not like the letter ‘K”? I have komyk.com but doesn’t seem to be turning any heads.

    I think "k" is just fine. But of course it depends on the name.
