Sadly, this was always the most likely outcome.

At least he didn't place a shill bid every 49 days.

It appears that the following auction is what is being referenced here: https://www.namepros.com/posts/auction-makemoney-com.9487269/

We can also see a report where the same domain and member ran an auction that was not honored and resulted in an account restriction/ban here: https://www.namepros.com/threads/makemoney-com.1300134/post-8909079

The rules on NamePros effecting end times are:
6.1.6 applies, starting bid, bid increments (default: $1 USD), specific end date and time including the time zone or a relative end time (suggested: 72 hours after last bid) with an optional end date and time (including the time zone) that specifies the earliest time an auction can end (note: the relative end time can extend the auction), and payment options.

6.1.24. Participatory criteria (e.g., eligibility) and restrictions (e.g., blocked members) on sales listings and auctions must be reasonable (e.g., “bidders must have ten positive Trade Reviews” or “established members only”), must not require unnecessary actions to be performed, and must be nondiscriminatory based on race, gender, personal preferences or opinions, etc. Rule 6.1.13 applies.

The end time appears to be transparent, and a reasonable end time may be subjective to different people.

If for any reason the seller does not honor the auction terms they are now bound to (Since there are active bids), their account would be subject to the same action(s) that happened in the previous auction, 2 years ago for the same domain.

It's our hopes that they will honor this auction, this time, so moderators don't have to get further involved.
Unfortunately, the seller has once again canceled an auction with active bids and failed to honor a binding sales agreement.

The sellers account has now been:
  • Infracted for unacceptable business practices (Multiple un-honored binding sales agreements)
  • Restricted from using the marketplace for security reasons due to the multiple un-honored binding sales agreements
It's our hopes that they will eventually learn that the binding agreements they make throughout life and business should be honored.

Sorry to see the auction didn't work out for the bidders.

good name tho

I wonder what offers he got over years..

or owned since when

I assume his ownership is confirmed by mod and not reason for his cancels.

Maybe a good time to update the auction rules?

Weird that he still has pro-status after violating the rules 2 or 3 times by not honoring bidding. @Echo Mod Team is it normal for a namepros member to retain their PRO status after being restricted and not honoring binding agreements more than once?

The Pro badge program is handled by the management team and not Moderator teams. Inaccurate: Learn more.

We have forwarded your concern to management for review.

yes I mean at this point in this case your pro badge looks more like comedy show and Mockery than some superior award or reward.

Pro members decide who has or does not have a PRO badge.

The only involvement by NamePros is carrying out what the PRO members want.

ah ok.

so np doesnt even check the 5 trillion criteria

who does then? the referring pro member?

so if ever some criteria stop applying after nomination then nobody rechecks?

that makes pro badge even less serious than I thought

Even though I knew this auction was full of red flags, I was hoping it was legit and resulted in a big sale. Could've been lots of exposure for one of my domains.

exposure how and for what?

Essentially. Every PRO member has another PRO member who has vouched for them to join The PRO Network. They're vouching that they meet the criteria.
