I have seen quite a few registered lately, has anyone got any comments on these names. What if there was a good keyword name, is it worth grabbing.

I believe its the Isle Of Man, but are people possibly going to use the "Instant Messaging" acronym for these domains??

Thanks for any advice??

You cant put values on these names, unless you can find an end-user, most would already have a website and wont be looking for a new domain, unless you get lucky (or develop)

The Isle of Man, with a population of around 75,000 is always going to be a hard market to crack

Isle of Man - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As I have said before, you better off sticking to .com/net/org/info/de/us/fr/in/cn - avoid aiming at weird and wonderful extensions , just to get a good keyword

By the way, I own 3 .im names to test them out a bit, small sites, parking etc (Diamond, Tones, Screensavers)

Good luck

Lets say i will be able to find end-user for Topix.im....Since Topix.com sold for 1 million dollar, then do you think i can sell my Topix.im domain to the end-user for something like 150k$ ??? less ?? more ??

Absolutely not, you wont be able to sell Topix.im, its like comparing Dump.com and Dumpiest.com, no comparison whatsoever

You really have to stop thinking like that - .COM is worth a LOT, if it was Topix.net, or Topix.info, you at least have a shot.

Who would buy Topix.im, are you going to try and sell it to someone on the Isle of Man, if not..why would someone spend anymore than $20 on a .IM domain if they dont live there and its not for a legit business purpose.

I would take $20 if you had the chance, or try and grace delete it.

I think the only valuable .IM are chat-related keywords.

At $4.99 a pop (at Domainmonster), I regged imho.im and onthego.im. I figure they fit the TLD (as instant messaging instead of the Isle of Man). But I won't be regging anymore.

Just noticed that Name's .IM domains are back up to $89.99. DomainMonster's $4.99 deal will be expiring October 14th. Any thoughts on what will happen when this occurs? Will the .IM market stay as dull as it seems to have been so far?

Anyone care to share some developed .ims or .ims doing well? That will boost the market :)

Domainmonster has the renewal set at $17.99 - $19.99 a year, reasonable for nice keywords.
