How does Tdnam's shopping cart work?

I want to take advantage of tdnam's buy 5 name and get $5 off firesale. If I add the
first domain name, and then add the second name, before I check out, is
it possible someone snatch the first name before I complete the check out?

It was possible in the older version. It looks as though theyve corrected that in the new site. When you opt to buy a domain name now, it doesnt force you to buy the name to win it.

However!!!! Ignore the $5 off sale - there is a discount code which gives you $2 off per domain name on the renewals anyhow. So, if you use the code instead $2x5 domains = $10 in savings and you dont have to buy a name you dont want to just to get the deal.

I noticed this as well. Not sure how it works entirely, but I can imagine there may be people out there searching by bids and snatching ones that people are sitting on in their carts. Not good. TDNAM's new site is horrible.

My methodology is usually to search and buy a number of names before checking out. This can be up to 2 hours (before the 1st names start dropping from the cart). I suffered once where a nice name got purchased 19 seconds (according to my account rep) before I checked out. I guess this is what happened to the other guy. So,I don't feel bad, I feel even

Lesson learned. Don't keep domains in your cart for too long. Checkout!

thanks for the tip. I have the club price, it looks like no coupon work anymore
with the club price. The renewal for me is fixed at $6.49+0.25=$6.71
