Hi I'm Sean.
I'm here because I want to learn all I can about the domain marketplace and best way to buy and sell properly. I realize I'm a newoob but I have a tremendous amount of energy to succeed at this. I'm a successful director, directing video game cinematics (Infamous 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, Uncharted series) as wells a couple of films. I had to move from LA to take care of my Dad, he has cancer and I couldn't just let my Mom carry the load herself. Needless to say I had to take a financial hit and i can't be out there full time.

I kick myself for not seeing the domain industry sooner. I'm sure many here have...or maybe not. I remember looking up .coms from the beginning that I thought were silly and are now worth millions. Hopefully it's not too late to make a decent living. But...more than that it's very exciting! It feels like mining for gold, diving for treasure off the coast of Bimini or metal detecting. I love it. It's like the Goldrush.

I went crazy the last week acquiring domains. I spoke with Ali Zandi, he sent me here. What a cool guy.

Anyway I look forward to learning more and getting to know this community.

Not an assumption. Newbies register awful domains. It happens over and over again. A lot of the time they'll register hundreds of garbage domains and then drop them all after year 1.

Yes there are some hand registered domains that sell, and yes a lot of the names on BrandBucket were hand regs, however that ship has sailed long ago as well... You'll do very well to hand reg any decent brandables anymore.
