Well these are the auctions results yesterday at 4.cn for the so called "CHIPS" .

xnmq.com - 1573 USD
zlhq.com - 1542 USD
qfnq.com - 1631 USD

So has the bubble burst or Am I totally wrong?

No one is bigger than the markets ,whether they be stocks ,commodities, horse crap,or domains. Markets get saturated and correct ,someone dident wake up one day and say lets make llll dot com chips go from par to 800% premium to the regular 4lcoms ,there was a demand and it got there. With chinese new year ending there was a lot of speculation and the market for that particular type domain was probably over bought or undersold ,so the market corrected afterwards ,this is not a big correction ,even if they traded down to a thousand dollars ,so what -the only way these things are going to 5 or 10 grand each is to get the weak longs out,if there some hillbilly that makes 35 grand in the midwest sitting on 200 4l dot com chips ,he is now a little nervous ,so you know hes gonna be a seller at 3000 when it gets back up there ,or he may panic and be a seller at 900 ,you see people ,I am a trader of stocks and markets ,and there is no difference in product the only thing that move markets are supply and demand for the big picture. and the swings within are the hopes and fears of crowds that make great opportunities for the people that are willing to buy and hold when the crowd is selling or panicing. Either you're looking for a long-term or a near-term gain.

And if you're looking for a near-term gain, then you need to gauge current market conditions, both in the domain space as well as global capital flows.

If things go well economically this month for the major domain-buying countries, then you can get a near-term gain on domains bought now and sold later this year.

If the economic situation further deteriorates, you will be better off waiting a few months to get domains at much lower prices, and then you'd have to hold for a year or two before selling to get a long-term gain.

Based on my intermediate experience and observations with trading stocks, working 5 years doing internet marketing, and buying/flipping domains and sites, I think what I stated above is a clear, elegant way to answer the question about whether the domain bubble has burst.

You can also go on namebio and look at the weekly price chart. It shows a downtrend since Dec 2015, coinciding with major pullbacks across other investment markets.

Yes, it will take some time as well.

On an average, 1500 5L.coms drop daily, so think how many names have been registered one year before.....

Yes, those letters that are not western premium i.e. jkquvwxyz may be a little risky if Chips brust.

It seems that all 4L gtlds are already around the $200 to $300 mark from what I can see. I see few people selling for less than that.
