Anyone care to comment? I was just randomly checking out 4.cn came across some active auctions. always good to check out the market for 6N's in the place where the boom started with numerics.

some have an ask price of low $xx,xxx on 4.cn (probably won't get it).

auction prices really are the litmus test for any domains targetting China market.

if these are the prices for 6N.com's then what is the future of 6N Randoms?

what exact has happened to the chinese numerics market? has the bubble burst as many predicted??

saw a few drop lists on NP being freely given on NP

Drop lists mean they expired and maybe went to Namejet or where ever dropped domains get sent so that the registrars can make a killing on them.

and even THEN no enterprising Chinese took them.

what gives?

6N's are in auction. You may want to look at the value after the end of auction.

Thanks. so what do you think? about the 6n market? why has it tanked? smarter buyers? or now they are checking out greener pastures in new extensions?

I see domains on there with short domains 1-4 letter.cm (what is .cm exactly?) and 1-4 number .cm for some ridiculous asking prices.

I will! tracking those right now just out of curiousity.

still doesn't explain the huge drop lists of 6N.com's and yes I know many have 0's and 4's
but some don't have those dreaded numbers and still they were dropped, sent to expired auctions (I'm assuming here) and no China Man took them?

not to make fun of the NP'er who posted that list but are we to jump on 6N domains that dropped and NO China Man took them? isn't it the point to buy such domains to resell to Chinese? if the Chinese aren't even "stealing" them at expired auctions or at drop. how are we going to even "think" we are going to resell it down the road to those same Chinese who snubbed these domains?

I know that "luck" is a big part of Domaining. but I seriously doubt we're that luck to be able to handreg dropped 6N's OF VALUE out in the open.

Thoughts?

I'm one of those people that don't believe in 6+ N.com's at all. I'm afraid I never found value in them,.. at least from an investor's perspective.

I admit, I'm totally inexperienced in the chinese market though. My only experience was when I sold almost all my non-chip 4L's for a huge profit (bought them for $20-$50 and sold them for high $xxx)

If you look at the above image, I drew a rectangle. There you will find the grey spikes which represents buying in large volume. This should give you a clue.

funny thing. you know those "hire" domain spammers? the ones that say a domain is about to be released to the public? I got one like this for a 6N domain. and low and behold a few days later it was expired and out in the open. I guess those spammy emails are for once useful for something. it was 583384.com

58 is lucky
33 is lucky
84 is lucky and yes 4 is bad luck but if the 8 is in front it translates as "Lucky in thee END".

so now what? can this be worth anything? problem with 4.cn is they have a button that eliminates all domains with 0's and all 4's

that sucks! cmon now 4.cn!

I see. but what's that blue and orange lines all about?

I am checking out those big spikes but more concerned about the MAJORITY of "tiny" to non existent spikes.

I count 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 spikes.

Thanks for this.
