Google has dropped indexed pages of my classified site from 1500 to just below 300, i guess this has happened due to duplicate content, but i m not very sure about it.

Can you guys help me on figuring out the problem with the site in terms of seo or why google would have done this?

You help amd suggestions appreciated!

Cheers!

Your titles and descriptions appear to be identical on all except the blog pages - that will do it.

duplicate content would certainly do the trick.

In my opinion, you should put <h1>title</h1> tag on top of every page, so that the search engine can easily identify it as different page/content.

<h1> tags will not solve the duplicate content issue, assuming that the op has more than just headers on his page.

Description and titles should be unique for the each page of your site
