So here it is.

Today I have received an email from GD saying that 3 of my numeric domains that I have bough from a NP member were cancelled and removed from my account.
Surprised I checked the whois and it turns out the are repossessed by GD.

I call the ( useless ) support and they tell me that there are problems with the previous owner's account and that if I want the domains back in my account I have to pay for their registration.

WTF?

So GoDaddy refuses to contact the previous owner and gives me 2 options

1) pay for registration
2) contact the previous owner and see what he/she can do...
WHAT????

WARNING : GoDaddy will take away any domain from your account if the previous owner/s are having issues on their accounts. They STEAL domains from the current account no matter what and if you want to have them back you have to pay for registration ( or whatsoever amount they tell you ). THEY DO NOT CARE how long the names have been in your account for and they DO NOT CARE that you have not being the registrar and they DO NOT CARE that you are not the "non paying" account holder.

GODADDY IS A FRAUD, BEWARE! GODADDY ARE THIEVES.

Transfer any domain out as soon as you can.

I would be really really pleased to hear what @Joe Styler has to say about this.
In the meantime shame on you GoDaddy

If a pawn shop buys stolen merchandise, the police are free to come in and "steal" it back for the rightful owner.

I don't see anything wrong with this. You got scammed by someone else; call them out.

There is no mistake by buyer and it's not his fault.

Godaddy should lock the domain before transferred. They should add more security check while push / transfer.

As a buyer how he knew the product is stolen / theft?

Edit: If they can't find Godaddy bug's / false system they should pay as a compensation for their faulty / buggy system.

Only difference GD is not the police, they are a company....and they can't take domains from an account which is not the account of the person who dealt with them.
That is a theft.

Let's see how you like it if you have had a name on your account for months and just because the previous owner has some unknown issues with them they take the name away from you..
Let me know how fair it is when it happens to you.

BTW having issue on an account does not equal being a scammer

You can't. It's a risk.

I'm sure any registrar would do the same thing. They want their money.

If not, you could create a fake account, register 1000 domains, push them, then request a refund. Think about it...

The domains were not stolen.

The person I bought the names from was the one was the first registrant so there is no scam or theft involved.
Do not state thing that are not true please.

GD has taken them away from my account after over a month they have been in there...

I didn't say it wasn't unfair... but it is unfair calling a company thieves for taking back property that wasn't paid for.

I don't get how a domain can be 'stolen' from a registrar.

The act of not paying for an item is theft, ie, the domains were stolen.

How do you know the domain wasn't paid for? It has been registered over 2 months ago and has been in my account for over a month and a half.

And yes I call them out. They should have fixed the problem with the previous owner not taking a domain away form someone else.

You cannot have a refund a month and a half later
Ok, go about it some other malicious way such as requesting a chargeback 89 days after purchase from the issuing card company? I didn't want to get technical and explain how this theft from GoDaddy could occur...

The fault is of seller, he might have sold domains and chargebacked so Godaddy took them back. Simple as that

Sure so instead of fixing things with the trouble maker let's steal domains from a honest account owner..it makes sense

How would they fix things with trouble maker ? He might not even be using that GD account anymore

Yes, steal.

Take back property, without prejudice, that is stolen to begin with (charge back).

@photonmymind , where did you buy? reveal the seller info to get blacklisted.

According to the Chargeback issue, godaddy can't do anything in this case. May they can remove creditcard from their checkout -_- (but it's not good for them as a seller.)
