I am thinking of trying https://www.efty.com/

I'm wondering if I can get some pros and cons from members.

I have almost 300 domains so these some of the items I would like to discuss before signing up.

1. Getting the information in via excel seems to be the best option, is that correct?

2. Do I have to transfer the domain to efty or just change nameservers?

3. If I only change name servers then I have added more work because I have to maintain dates and prices in efty plus watch my registrar.

4. They seem to be in bed with Escrow and the buy now function looks like it depends on that. Is there another way to do buy now? I have my own payment processing machine and I use it or bank transfers.

5. Are there any other costs other than the quoted monthly fee.

6. Even using the excel spread sheet it looks like an awful lot of work to get everything in when there are 300 domains involved. Is it worth the time and effort on top of information already supplied by my registrar?

7. Is there a similar service and how do their tools compare?

8. Uniregistry looks like it may have similar services and ultimately it would be easier to manage the domains right from the registrar but I'm not hot on paying a 15% commission on sales. Discuss Uniregistry advantages if any.

The landing page load times have now gone from slow to border line unacceptable. For the last week the loading pages are not taking seconds to load but almost a minute to load.

The landing page load times have been an issue with efty for almost 6 months now (as per user comments on this forum). Now that I have paid full membership I feel that it is unacceptable now and I may have been better off with another company where load times are much much faster. I am sure I have lost potential offers because of this.

Kindly can you let us know if increasing load times is linked to overhauling Efty's whole server/setup which is too much to do and that's why you've let the sluggish load times continue?

Can you let us know when in terms of date things are going to get sorted? If we are talking a month away then I'm considering moving domains elsewhere.

We're currently working on improving the load times and I expect an update on this before the end of the week.

I still believe in Efty but feel that changes are needed very soon in order for it to become what it is capable of becoming.

Once these critical updates are done, and with a cleaner and updated interface it will become the best domain selling platform out there.

Doron few things I'd suggest...

1) Improve load times of landers (most important)
2) 404 redirect to index so no wasted traffic from old backlinks, I use htacess for this on my own pages
3) Reword offer forms and make it universal across all templates, seeing variations based on template used, personally I use...

4)editable footer in bulk? allowing people to add a few text links or banner links to their own sites or affiliate programs in footer

Could ramble more (which I'm known for) on other possible additions but these 4 things are the main reason I do my own pages on my own server as lightning fast loading time, no wasted traffic, offer forms exactly the way I want them phrased and hundreds of backlinks to my other developed sites in footer, with that said I really dig Efty just a case of so close to perfection just not 100% there yet, if it gets there someday maybe I unplug one of my servers and move over, alternatively drink a few beers and hand me a login and I'll build it like it's only for me.

So I'd focus on landing page tweaks/quick loading times first as adding more market features doesn't really help if loading time scares people away from the service.

I'm glad to report back here relatively quick with an update regarding the load times. We've made some tweaks and you should see a significant improvement in load-times for your landing pages. I also got another good lead on a name, GetA*****.com. The guy offered a grand, just a bit low, but it's not totally dead that lead.

I'd be very curious to see how the platform did with prices, as I have them all make offer.

Thanks Doron, thats awesome. The pages are indeed loading quicker and I've also noticed the landing pages look more vibrant and sharper for some reason (this is a good thing).

Awesome response and I'm very pleased.

Now just waiting for the main update and revamp, any indication as to when that will be?

Efty, Nameinvestors, Domainmanage and likes are good in their own category.
The cons, however, is limited flexibility, since you're sharing core features with other users (for example, domain categories).

To have full control and maximum flexibility, you have to setup your own website. There are many turn-key scripts to do just that. For example,

DNHat, This-domain-is-for-Sale, DNFolio etc.

Among them, I think DNHat is the best - due to its flexibility and features. It has everything. In fact I'm using DNHat for my domains.

I am still in the trial period with efty and so far it seems a quite nice tool to have but there are some cons.

* Just checked and landing pages still load very very slowly

* Lack of https ( ssl certificate ). Even if it is true that payments go through payoneer escrow google is still marking the site as non secure. I think our marketplace pages should be considered like ecommerce sites.

* All traffic to my landing pages is grouped into one big pot of traffic ( google analytics ) and I am not capable of seeing what names have traffic, how much, from where etc. ( if it is just me sucking with google analytics please help me! )

* Bigger logos

As for landing pages yes, definitely too too low. I have tried domains registered with different registrars to see if it could have made some difference but nope. Just slow.

I strongly suspect that you may have to revamp and redo your whole system to improve load times. This will no doubt cause massive problems for all involved as it may require a massive update from scratch.

We will be doing a lot of testing and then more testing to make sure it's going to be top-notch. Logos are 300x80 across the entire platform, this is not something we plan on changing currently but I will make sure it's going to be on the agenda when we plan our development roadmap for next year. Yes, you can run a marketplace site on a sub-domain without a problem.

I agree with you that SSL is becoming increasingly more important. I will look into what the possibilities are to move the marketplaces over to SSL but won't be able to make any promises about if and when that is going to be implemented. It seems more and more users request bigger logos so we will be looking into this.
