Hi all!

We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

We’d like to kick things off with an extension of our $7.99 .COM transfer sale, the code “COMTRANS4” has been extended until 23:59 PST on May 31, and there’s no limit on how many domains you can transfer using the code. Every month we have great prices on a wide selection of domains, and you can find a full list of our sales here:

https://www.dynadot.com/sales.html

We’re also excited to share that our CEO, Todd Han, will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) right here on Namepros in the near future, with more information on a date and time coming soon.

Dynadot is an ICANN accredited domain name registrar and web host headquartered in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2002 by a software engineer, our primary focus is engineering and design excellence. Our custom written, state-of-the-art domain and hosting software is stable, fast, and easy to use. From humble beginnings, we have grown steadily and now are home to over 2.6 million domains.

Our goal is to provide our customers with world class registration and hosting services for a reasonable price. Most of our site is fully automated, allowing us to offer some of the lowest prices in the industry. At the same time we strive to provide excellent customer service, and helpful responses to all questions. If anything is not to your satisfaction, feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to resolve the situation.

We individually respond to every email we receive - no cut and paste responses. Customer service is handled by highly trained customer service representatives that work closely with our software engineers, so you are likely to get an intelligent response to your question.

Hi,

On Twitter, a user with a large number of followers asked which domain registrar is the best. I replied that Dynode is the best registrar in the world. After that, I noticed today that I can’t list my domain for sale on my account anymore - I keep getting an error.
Hello, did you use the 899COM code to register those names? Due to the nature of this sale there are a restrictions (such as the WHOIS not showing as Dynadot for the first year): https://www.dynadot.com/help/questi...tm_campaign=Newsletter+March+2026&drefid=5282

Regarding the listing, they actually should be able to be listed on our marketplace, but there's just a small bug at the moment. That should be fixed end of the day tomorrow at the latest, sorry for the inconvenience there!

EDIT: These names can be listed on our marketplace now!

Hello Caleb,

Thanks for the offer and discount, and the support on the forum - it's a smart move by the company in terms of partnership with OpenProvider. You're all doing everything right.
Dynadot the best!
Sorry for bothering .

No worries, But I will see if they can put the restrictions on checkout as well!

I’m planning to update my email address for my Dyna account and then renew a domain that was registered through a promo from OpenProvider. Will the authorization code be sent to my new email address by OpenProvider, or is that nothing to worry about? And when renewing, will the domain automatically transfer to Dynadot?

I’m also planning to register more domains through this promo once I sell the others.

Thanks a lot.

The contact record for the domain will be yours as per usual, as it's managed from your Dynadot account.
And when renewing, will the domain automatically transfer to Dynadot?
That's correct! It just can't renew in the first 60 days as that would trigger a transfer to us which isn't allowed by the 60 day reg lock

Hello,

Please create a Dutch auction for domains (auction where the price drops until someone places a bid) instead of the regular weekly one, which is completely ineffective, or add it as an option.

We actually have discussed this in the past (similar to Epik's NameLiquidate) but nothing ever came of it. I'll let our aftermarket team know there's more interest of it!

Would you want it to last for a set time or just have it go forever/till first bid once you list it in the dutch auction?

I like the NameLiquidate algorithm exactly as it is. I've had many sales through it in the past.

Hi,

Please do not block connections to the Dynadot website through DoH; it is not working at the moment.

Thanks

Please, please, please could the powers-that-be make it a standard that all pricing on your website and in emails is displayed with separators? I received the email below a week ago. It is 10 times easier/quicker to read $2,000,000 than $2000000.00...

I'll see what I can do.

all pricing on your website
FYI, thought I'd let you know none of the top 3 listed names are resolving...two are blocked due to 'suspicious site' and the other won't load.

Please remove the decimal places from the appraisals as well. They are completely pointless here, since only whole dollars are considered.
This request has already been raised several times in this thread.

Confession: I'm one of those Morons who factor such appraisals into their renewal decisions once they reach certain thresholds. When I then go through the domain list, it's a race against time to see if I'll go crazy or blind by these cent zeros first. In any case, four-digit amounts are soon indistinguishable from five-digit amounts, etc.

Please, please, please
Dito!

All working for me. Maybe they fixed them...

Hi @Caleb Tweed
There's one thing about your auctions that I find a little frustrating. The auction below is a great example. I place my bid and the big green bar at the top shows that I am the high bidder. However, if you check the pricing at the bottom, you can see this is not the case as I have been outbid. Of course, the message reflects that I was theoretically the highest bidder for a fraction of a second, but then I was outbid by someone else's proxy bid. However, it would be much better if the system delayed the message for a couple of seconds and then it would 'realise' that I am not the highest bidder and could display the correct message informing me that I have been outbid.

P.S. Even going back to that page 10min later (the browser window was still open) shows the message at the top indicating that I am the successful bidder. All the while, the pricing indicates otherwise, and the auction timer is counting down dynamically. It seems odd that the message at the top is not a live reflection of what's happening, while the timer is...
