Hello guys
I have received an offer for a domain name through one of a domain market place.
The buyer has offered $5,000 down and $833.33 monthly for 48 months.
That is a total offer of $45,000 which is my asking price.
I have passed it and asked for one cash payment.
So, did you receive a similar offer before?
Thanks for sharing.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Sure

By the way, Epik just added 12 months to pay option to all their marketplace listings. You can turn it on or off for each domain and you can add any extra fee for yourself if you like. :xf.smile:

If I have a name and I want 10,000 for a cash sale but someone wants to make payments, I will give the option for a payment plan but the total goes up to 11,000 (covers financing costs, hassles, etc)

The buyer does not get ownership of the name until paid in full...miss a payment and the deal is off and I keep whatever has been paid.

I had a similar offer before for a total of $28,000. The buyer agreed to release only the domain after full payment. The payment was seated on escrow for more than 6 months. The deal was closed without any problem. If you can wait, then do it.

You must be very confident in your domain to refuse your asked price of 45K.

@jamaltq

1. Put everything in writing.
2. Receive payments by bank wire only.
3. Don't transfer the domain, only point to their host. (DNS)
4. Beware of content! No porn, No blackhat, No spamming or clickbait.
5. No refund.

Best of luck!

Thank you.
The process will be through the domain market place.

That doesn't mean squat unless they provide the above mentioned.
YOU need to have the above in physical writing!

If all this is even legit.

I'm assuming its the name in your avatar.

If it is I I one question.

Have you ever had a time in your life yet where you later realized "you made a huge mistake"?

This may be the time.

The first payment would have already been in my account.

Thanks for your post.
This thread is not regarding the name itself if it is worth the offer or not.
I am just discussion selling under monthly payments term.

Exactly! Many domainers don't realize that one buyer may be all you'll ever get for a domain. There was a name I was interested in 13 year ago and the owner refused to budge on the price because they felt it was "worth it". Well, they still send me emails asking if I'm interested in the name 13 years later and of course I'm not. Never assume a potential buyer is not looking at alternative names.
