Hello guys
I have received an offer for a domain name through one of a domain market place.
The buyer has offered $5,000 down and $833.33 monthly for 48 months.
That is a total offer of $45,000 which is my asking price.
I have passed it and asked for one cash payment.
So, did you receive a similar offer before?
Thanks for sharing.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Exactly! Many domainers don't realize that one buyer may be all you'll ever get for a domain. There was a name I was interested in 13 year ago and the owner refused to budge on the price because they felt it was "worth it". Well, they still send me emails asking if I'm interested in the name 13 years later and of course I'm not. Never assume a potential buyer is not looking at alternative names.
Just to clarify, this domain received more than 30 offers in the last two years.
And still.
Thanks

I personally wouldn't have a problem doing a deal like you mentioned, however, the term is a tad longer than I would prefer for a name that gets frequent interest and offers.

If you're considering this as an option and if you've had other high offers in the past on the name, then you may want to think about them paying a little more each month because of the long time frame. Structure something based on 12 months, 24 months, etc ...

Because of the long time frame, you always have the possibility that they default on the payment at some point, where you keep the payments and the name. Of course the name is tied up where you can't sell it for the full amount either. Hard to say what to do. Best of luck!

Many thanks.
Yes it is a hard decision.
Anyway, I have contacted the broker asking for %50 down, and the rest for two years.

I had a similar offer before for a total of $28,000. The buyer agreed to release only the domain after full payment. The payment was seated on escrow for more than 6 months. The deal was closed without any problem. If you can wait, then do it.

Does escrow.com hold the domain name?

Did you use any contracts or lease agreements?

This OP just like steering attention... he needs it badly... just watch as he would create another thread next month. The most annoying thing is that NONE of his thread in which he is seeking advice is ever concluded while those he sought their opinions would be expecting it.

Do you remember the one he created about end user wanting him to travel to the US? he never responded to call for updates on how it ended, nobody knows... a week after creating that thread, he came up with another and this current one is a series of unending slew of events...

don't be surprise when he suddenly goes ghost again and resurface with another thread, asking questions.... if that is not attention seeking, I wonder what it is. wasting people's time.

Nobody forced you to waste your time in my threads, when I have a new issue I like to share it with the other members that's all to hear from them.
All opinions give me and the other members specially the newbies an ideas how to deal with.
So again don't waste your time.

You are just an attention seeker... your method is to get information from people on how to handle your issues but when others expect you to give concluding piece so that they can learn from your experience, you go ghost and never say anything about it. Then you create another thread and the circle continues... I am calling it in your face man.

No updated, because I didn't hear back from the potential buyer, after I asked him that we can make it by a broker face to face.
So, do you want me to post that in the thread?

So, you are thinking that I am creating those stories just to make attention?

No, I do not mean you make the story up... what I felt is that you just rub it on people's face when you get an offer with no concluding piece to sum it all up. I could remember people asking you if there were any update but you ignored it and same week, you created another thread.

So, why I do you feel the need to post now when you should have replied those people asking for update?

I didn't doubt you but I felt you just want to feel good, get attention because you got an offer. What is the essence of creating a thread and going ghost thereafter... does not make sense to me.

@jamaltq

1. Put everything in writing.
2. Receive payments by bank wire only.
3. Don't transfer the domain, only point to their host. (DNS)
4. Beware of content! No porn, No blackhat, No spamming or clickbait.
5. No refund.

Best of luck!

This...

as long as you keep the ownership of the domain name and they keep up the payments then great. If they miss payments you can have it written in the contract that they forfeit any monies paid and the domain name remains yours

As I told you, it is the first time I am facing like that issues, (traveling to the buyer country, and offer for monthly payments)
I am receiving many normal offers every week, but that offers are new to me.
I didn't post the updated for my issues, because it is really there is No updated as you can see in the attachments.

If you keep getting such offers, kindly do pm me the potential buyer emails and interested domain (for rejected offers) so that atleast i can search my small portfolio and offer them something.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. make your trash my treasure.... :xf.embarrassed:
